Do you need an amp for these head units? I bought one from Podofo and now my speakers are much quieter and I barely get any bass... do I have to instal an aftermarket amp or something?
Hello, Did you solved the sound problem? I have the same problem. I went back to the original RNS315 radio and even there the sound is much quieter and almost no bass.
is it possible to use the oem microphone rather than using aftermarket do you know? shame to have to add another in my eyes, also, does the steering wheel functions work for the dab?? great vid btw, and super bonus wending up with x2 units haha
Yes steering controls and factory parking sensors work straight out the box. If you are looking to purchase an android headunit for your MK6 I would recommend the Eonon VWA12S6G...unlike other head units it's running genuine android 13, cheaper units advertise android 13 but they are not, its android 10 made to look like android 13. @what's dave done got it working, you're video definitely helped. Bit stuck on where to feed usb cables. Also is it possible to connect arm rest usb, any tips?
You can purchase an adapter to connect the factory USB...I have one laying around that I never used....it connects to the green plug that was in back of your old unit. I don't use any of my usbs for connecting my phone as my current unit has wireless android auto
Hi nice vid Dave, maybe you can give me a litle help, ( by the way I m Joey ) i have a Touareg , I'd like to know the schema for the quadlock vw wires connection to the android radio 16 pins with canbus , the connector ready to buy kent vind on internet or ebay ( maybe you have a link? ) so I maybe can tray to adapt one 40 quadlock connector I have already with vw canbus but I dont know on the quadlock where the black, yellow and ( if needer... ) red wires, wouldnYou please help me out? The unit that I installed is branded by Pumpkin. Unfortunately it's no longer available. If you are looking for a 9" VW specific headunit I would recommend the Eonon Q53pro, available on amazon, eBay or directly from Eonon.
