Much better than most so called professionals online. You pick a good backup pump with high flow rate better than most professionals used a chicken power backup sump pump.
Great video. I'm planning on doing this soon. I just bought my house and would feel better having the backup pump installed. I'm not good at this stuff biy it seems pretty simple.
Hi. Do you still have this setup? How is it performing? I heard that the pump runs for an extra 20 seconds even if the pit is dry. Any burn out issues?

I got a deep cell battery from Battery plus store...Duracell brand, about $120. Don't go cheap on the battery, as it is crucial for your system to work for hours, maybe days, with a bad storm. No special terminals. The system works great. Check your battery about a week before traveling, to be sure it is still good, it's easy to forget about this system when you don't need it a lot.
I don't have any problems. My pipe is open outside the basement wall and the pipe is sloped down. Also, it is a 3" pipe. So I hear it drain out, but no big banging or anything like that. Seems to work fine.
