EXTERIOR HOME Make Over with FAUX STONE PANELS!
In this Project/Video I'll show you how you can improve the appearance of your house exterior just by ADDING Faux Stone Panels.
This is the Stone Product I Picked: Wellington Dry Stack Faux Panels COLOR: Quarry Gray
This FAUX STONE Panel Project cost me: $614 (and Took 2 DAYS!)
It makes a great difference to the way your house appearance is "richer looking". It looks like REAL Stone has been added! VERY Affordable and ADDS Lot's of value to your home!
What I really like about this Product/Project, is how your accuracy doesn't have to be that perfect as long as you have the Paintable Caulking and Touch-Up Paint kit!
If I were to use REAL Stone and hire a company to install this improvement, I would have probably had to pay $2,000 to $3,500.

You got a lot of hate in the comment section here! For the $500 he spent, hes adding way more than that in value no questions about it. If you dont like this product then there are always more expensive products out there that you can buy. I say thanks for putting this out there as an option and nice vette by the way

It's interesting when you go onto the profile of most of these trolls. They have either posted a couple of videos some years ago on RU-vid and given up as it's too much work for them or they haven't ever contributed to the RU-vid community. I'm all for constructive comments (how else can we learn) but the haters contribute nothing.

My home is 100 years old. I have been calculating and experimenting with various siding themes. I have had stone or brick in mind from the start. I have a definite design now. Thank you. This product fits my budget and seems within my abilities to install. My home is rather simple in design in comparison with yours. The wood 4"T1-11 4×8 siding installed horizontally with this Faux TandoStone panel as a base will bring my old home to life. Simple trim and a panel separator mold will be very nice. You have helped me greatly with your posting. Thank you very much. C/O in Oklahoma

You should have showed us how you used the tap gun concrete screws.Did you cut out panels first and laid it over the area and mark out where the screw has to go? Or did you just drill over panel into concrete and came back to insert the screw. Please, teach me how you did it. I love the outcome of your work.

You did a nice job. I feel like its incomplete without doing behind the hoses and filters. But it's not my house lol. Much cheaper than real stone and hiring a contractor. I'm betting you learned a couple tricks that will make finishing all the way around the house a breeze. Maybe leave out the clay colored touch up, or lighten it up with some of the cream color, it seems to be too dark for that type. But nice job, hoping mine makes our house curb appeal better. Youve got a beautiful house. P.s. your garage is WAY too clean.

Looks great. You did a great job. As far as expense....wow. it adds up quick once you add any element of height.... i.e. You're likely 8 ft to the soffet level. that would require 4x the panels for the same LF. Plus, trim and outlet accessories. i think that why we only see this faux stone used as accent pieces and not as much on full walls. My project is 60 ft long by 9 feet high. It will be over $10k for the project. Stucco and paint would be less than $1k....

For what little you did, why didn't you invest in a couple or 3 corner pieces. Not that bad of a job, but it would have looked allot better. Also an old vinyl table cloth would work good to use to place on the ground to hold your various paints. An you can also use an old cookie pan to place your paints in (again) to stop spilling on our your concrete.

Mike, You're absolutely right, I "F'd-Up". I originally tried the adhesive that was recommended for these panels and the panels just slid-right off! So I really recommend using screws...in my case concrete screws. You have to drill the hole and screw in the screws - WORKS GREAT and FAST! Look for my other video where I applied this same stone panel....HERE'S A BETTER VIDEO: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pNFS_1Ur94k.html

If I were to miter the corners like that I would've made a much better cut with a track saw and then tightened up the corners with trim screws and then maybe caulked the screw holes with a tiny bit of touch up paint. There's no way I'd leave a gap that big. Expansion and contraction is going to blow those corners apart.

The rust color paint was the wrong color, but you covered most of it up with the darker colors, it looks very nice. The only thing that does not look right is the unfinished wall were you spilled the paint and tords the front of the driveway were the plants are. The stone should be everywhere the molding was. Other than that it an upgrade to the curb appeal.
