Great video so far (haven't finished it still in process) Just wanted to mention, you need the repo from onedrej as php8.1 is not supported in the official Ubuntu repo. I had to run "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php" to add the repo for onedrej BEFORE running the "sudo apt install" line on the second step.
Pinning your comment so others can see it. I will ensure this repo is safe and stuff before updating my documentation. Thank you for pointing that out.
@@beamnetworks1 NP, After finishing the video I got everything working that was the only step that made me stop and look into why Ubuntu was telling me that php8.1-fpm could not be found when trying to run it as you were also running it on a fresh VM (I just installed the VM for this testing) so i thought maybe my distro was corrupted. But after a little googling I came across posts saying that php8.1 was not supported by the official Ubuntu repo and you had to use someone else's repo and that got it working for me :) Great video, thanks for the tutorial ♥
I had the same issue, this resolved it. Open this file: sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf Add the following line at the end of the file: Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf Restart apache2: sudo systemctl restart apache2.service (I hope this helps!)
Hi Sir, Thank you so much on this. Also Sir, may we request you doing a video connecting the radius to firewall or router? Thank you so much in advance.
@@beamnetworks1I have done installing it on a container inside a Proxmox server, everything worked fine and i have access to the phpMyAdmin,, I want to connect the radius to a mikrotik router and use the hotspot, please if you could help achieving that. also how to access the GUI of the FreeRadius,, thanks in advance.
Hello, what command would the freeradius be started with or does it start without doing anything? Additional configuration is also needed to connect the freeradius with the antennas for example (Netgear antenna, Cisco or Cisco Meraki antennas). If you need them, if it's not too much trouble, could you tell me that I have to change the antenna, the network authentication, these things. thank you so much
Honestly not too sure what else you are asking but the command to start freeradius is “sudo systemctl start freeradius”. To start it and have it always run when your server boots, you can run “sudo systemctl enable -now freeradius”
Hai, sir. every time I run freeradius -X I get an error because the default port is already in use. If I kill or stop freeradius, then during the test 'radtest testing password 127.0.0.1 0 testing123' does not enter the database
Hello. Make sure you have stopped Freeradius before running the -X command. sudo systemctl stop freeradius. If it still says something is listening on that port, make sure nothing else on your system is using ports 1812/udp or 1813/udp.
it work for me brother but i can't use NAS table in mysql debug show ignore message : Ignoring request to auth address * port 1812 bound to server default from unknown client 172.17.17.215 port 55946 proto udp // 215 is my mikroitk router i already uncomment client_table = "nas"
Can you put me in the right direction as to why am i getting this error ? /etc/freeradius/3.0/mods-enabled/sql[364]: Reference "${dialect}" not found, Ive followed the guide and this is what i am getting! Thanks in advance
Make sure you have this line uncommented: (driver = "rlm_sql_${dialect}") and this line commented out driver = "rlm_sql_null". However, considering you are getting that error on line 364, make sure this is what your line looks like: $INCLUDE ${modconfdir}/${.:name}/main/${dialect}/queries.conf
