Hey there!
This is Teja.
In this video tutorial, I will be teaching you how to install kali linux alongside windows 7, that is, how to dual boot kali linux and windows 7 from the same hard disk.
Please follow the video carefully, because we are trying to do some serious stuff, and if anything goes wrong in this process, you are going to loose all your files, and you may end up with no Operating System on your hard disk.
Sorry for the bad Video quality.

Step 1 : Download Kali Linux ISO Image : kali.org/downloads
Step 2 : Download Universal USB Installer : pendrivelinux.com
Step 3 : Create a Partition on your Hard disk for Kali Linux.
Step 4 : Install Kali Linux alongside Windows 7

To all those people, who are getting a debootstrap error, make sure that there is atleast 40gb of free space for kali linux. If not, create an unallocated space of more than 40gb and try again. Hope it works! Cheers!

WARNING: Tutorial is missing some steps, after shrinking the hard drive you need to use the unallocated free space to create a new virtual hard disk partition and use that partition for the linux install. Without doing this you could overwrite your host Operating System and you will have to install Windows all over again. Also, if you are having issues detecting the USB drive during the linux installation I suggest to create your USB bootable drive using win32 disk imager instead of Universal usb installer. +Deeayegoo Gomez There is no necessity to create a new Drive with the Un-allocated space. You will get an option in the Kali Linux Partitioner during the Installation process, where you can select the un-allocated space, and thus, Kali Linux will be installed there.

Thanks for the response, I tried that and it did not seem to work for me. Once my GRUB booted up, windows 7 was missing from the OS options. Could it be because I was using the Windows 7 home premium edition? It seemed to work after creating the new virtual disk and using that new disk instead of selecting "Un-allocated space"

yes you do need to create two main partitions its a dumb idea to install two OS on one HDD with making partitions one will eat other eventually

Hello! Thanks for the tutorial, I have a Dell computer, so if you have a Dell computer and have problems with the booting process, here's what's wrong: So, you wanna hit F12 not F2, and then click USB Hard Disk or something like that, and then follow the instructions provided in the video. I've 2tb hdd but when i free the disk partition and then when i am at the bios linux for completing the boot, it doesn't show any partition. it shows 1.8tb directly

After following these steps you will enter a sutuation where your GRUB loader will not show your secondary OS so just open Kali linux Terminal and type " psudo update Grub"

I downloaded 64-bit version and there is no iso file , there is actually a setup file :/ , i used setup file , everything was good , it told it needs to boot and i restarted my computer , boot screen popped out , i clicked "Continue Linux Instalation" or somth like that , and boom "the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt" , Any help?
