What’s up everybody? In today’s video, I will be doing an install and review of the Bully Rubberized Spray On Bed Liner. This kit is a Low VOC, Non Toxic, Water Based, Environmentally friendly, spray liner made from recycled tires. It is a low cost kit that easily compares to other DIY kits on the market but with no chemicals and easier preparation to your truck bed.

Thank you for the great video. I have been looking for a bedliner for quite a while now. I couldn't make my mind up before I saw this. I was thinking of Raptor or Cobra. After looking for so long, it was great to see BullyLiner described so well. Other people have done good jobs as well on their videos, but you really did an excellent job on describing every aspect of this job. I only hope I can do as well as you did!

I like the way I sprayed mine. I drove it to a place. dropped it off for the day and then picked it up later.... its all perfect haha I only just watched this because I was curious as to what all it entails and if I had wasted my money because they really got it done pretty quick, now I know I am glad I just had someone do it. I have the tools and ability but do not have the time or interest in doing all that right now! plus my truck bed had a bunch of rust in it that they cleaned up first . it was worth the $ for me to just have it done. they had two guys jump right on it this morning and had it done by noon. that would have taken me a long tedious day or maybe a day and a half.

I just used raptor liner on my 2012 JK hard top. Considering using bully liner for the interior. I do want to clarify that you don’t need to sand to bare metal for the raptor liner. Just need to scuff the paint decently. If you go to bare metal you will need to prime it. So I think the prep is similar.

I like this product, that said, raptor liner is less money, it does NOT require sanding to bare metal and if your wife ever sits in the cab of your truck she is in the nucleus of “chemical based products” from the seats to the dash to the carpet to the _______(fill in the blank with every component that exists in your cab)

Hello, what about rust prep as in the bed having surface rust? All the video examples I have seen are clean, no rust surfaces with no comments on how to prep surface rust. Unless I missed it. Thanks

do you or anyone know the methods and tech for painting OVER Bullylinner? Thats what paint, etc. to change color over the top of Bullyliner.
@obfuscated3090

One way to strip beds and anything else is find a monument shop as they use engine-driven air compressors feeding industrial blast pots and most blast on the side for cash. Manual sanding is tedious and cannot produce nearly the frosty clean "toothy" surface blasting does. Well worth up to a hundred bucks (iIve not paid more than fifty but it varies by location) vs the misery of trying to manually sand where mechanical sanders etc don't quite reach.

Hands down the best way to prep a bed is by using a nylon cup brush 4 inch that screws onto a polisher or angle grinder ( you would need variable speed or low speed) i just got a HF rotary polisher/sander variable speed for 24 bucks i think. Also the maroon 3M scotch brite is your friend too.
@unbr3akablonsoundcloud-tx6co
That depends on the state of the tray. If it’s an old rusty one I’d use a wire brush that attaches to a variable speed drill. You can get multi packs that have different sizes so you can get into all the nooks and crannies and fast. Of course if you do this method you would want to spray an etch primer prior to bedliner
@garybrady7245
@garybrady7245 Год назад
Well of course I meant a fairly decent shape with clear on it. If it's rusty then you'll be cutting out and welding but only up to a certain point if it's worth it. Then clean it up real good and hit it with some ospho and then por-15 if it's that bad if not use some self etch or epoxy primer then hit it with the raptor or bedliner of your choice which I'm sure it's probably raptor. It is some killer how could you not like raptor or T-Rex I'm actually gonna be trying some Dominion sure seal tintable shake and shoot for the first time got a helluva deal on it with the gun and 4 bottle kit. Might be the next big thing just needs to get out there
@unbr3akablonsoundcloud-tx6co
@@garybrady7245 I used T rex on my camper trailer build . Magic stuff. Had a design change and i struggled to cut it out after drilling all the rivets out. I haven’t used raptor but swear by bullyliner. Easy to work with , cheaper and safer to spray at home. If you cbd welding u could use a waterproof rubberised membrane too

My truck is painted with Raptor liner, Extremely hard to remove. Can I spray the bully liner on it ? I sprayed kinda thin not heavy so it doesn't have texture but somewhat like coarse sand paper type sprayed on with raptor liner. It was my first attempted, My other sprayed on jobs got way better. I bought 5 bottles to spray my 2005 Tacoma exterior.

I must’ve missed it but what pressure did you used when you sprayed
@DieselLegiance
@DieselLegiance 11 месяцев назад
I honestly do not remember but it was not that high maybe 50-60 psi. It’s best to start around 50 psi and spray a small test spot to check consistency and then adjust from there.

@DieselLegiance

I’ve had it on for awhile now and I don’t have any issues. I’m sure just like with any liner, if your tossing heavy tools and equipment in the bed carelessly you may scratch the liner but it’s easily fixable.

Mineral spirits is exactly the wrong thing to use, acetone is the correct thing to use, see how your bed went from light chalky gray to the darker color after mineral spirits? That is the residue left behind by the MS, my guess is u will get adhesion failure before a year is up

Does the liner peel off with the tape?
@DieselLegiance
@DieselLegiance Год назад
I had no issues but I guess it depends on the tape used. Blue painter tape is probably best but that green frog tape is like duct tape and may peel. Once dried it’s fine. Keep in mind, I don’t throw pool boxes in my bed but if you throw anything heavy and sharp, it could still gouge the finish, but you can always get a paintbrush and touch it up later with the same liner.

Can’t complain. However, I don’t just throw tools, equipment, or materials in my bed either. I do haul stuff from time to time though but do take a little caution as to not just throw stuff in the bed but so far so good.
