Just did the install and it was very easy. I ride goofy and the wire can be tucked behind the harness clip so there is no need for zip ties. You can also feed the wire through the plastic housing without having to cut it if you loosen the screws.
The clips, i received look like they are almost double the size of the ones in the video. Will i hurt my wires trying to move them to make room? I want a battery gauge, but I dont want to destroy my board in the process
I have a question about the grey clips, I have never seen those kinds of clips, do I need to strip the black and red wires before using those, do they automatically strip the wire? Seems like you kinda glanced over that critical part in this video, but I am buying one of the right now!
Not to be a Debbie downer as the idea is great, but can you reverse/flip the display? For regular riders you’d be able to see the gauge while riding then, and it’d be right side up.
So how do i fit the giant yellow clips in there for what i assume is a newer system? There is no way those cheap yellow plastic clips are going to fit over the wires without cutting through the insulation.
I got my CBXR and stuff yesterday, and got it installed today... That Variable charger is LOUD! But in going to install the gauge, I noticed 2 sets of red and black wires of the same gauge. Does it matter which one I tap?
@@nartmot You can tap either set... It's easier to look at it and decide with the footpad off, as it's some contortionist voodoo to get the taps in. Don't put the taps so they're right next to each other, and stagger them out instead is probably the best way to get some room.
