Leaks.....plastic is too thin for weight of fuel pump. Engineering flaw....fundamental strength/weakness flaw... Too risky too close to heat source and human genatalia. Not cool. Super design... . bad execution . Want to return the second one too and just want my $1600 back. They are not replying to my emails.
Hi, same problem as you. A lot of money time to do this for a crapy leaking tank, 3 times in and out... the tank leaks from bolts in plastic from pump, tried everything to stop this even aircraft special glue. I give up on frenchies they are criminals. Hope you sorted out the tank, I am buying and aluminium tank now...more $$
This bike does at least 30 miles per gallon if you go easy 35 miles per gallon I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE ONE...4 gallons 120 miles.... before that if you don't stop to buy gas and Stretch your legs , that mean you don't need a vmax you need a HONDA GOLDWING. NO REASON TO BUY THAT THING....PERIOD.

FOR A BIGGER TANK ! THE VMAX HAS A 4 GALLON TANK AND IT GETS ABOUT 26 MPG THAT’S NOT EVEN 100 MILES PER TANK THE NEW TANK IS 6.6 GALLONS BIG IMPROVEMENT!
Just installed an aluminum tank from Bart Raats. No leaking issue to worry about, costs €800. Basically the same installation but a few less things taken apart.
