Hi there, My GLS550 radio quit working, so would this upgrade even work for me? Do I need a working OE radio in order for the harness to work for the Android unit? Is the Android add-on system or it is an independent unit, or both?

Yes it need a working original head unit , if not , the android screen also not work

He comprado una pantalla China mi coche es un Mercedes 180 w176 la pantalla que compre me funciona perfectamente lo único que cuando me llaman por teléfono yo les escucho perfectamente pero ellos amino a ver si me podéis ayudar
