I can't believe i came across this video...I want to do this to my Bighorn. What is the kit part number, please?! And is this a perfect color match to the Brilliant White Clearcoat color? Thanks for this vid, dude!
I would suggest putting the clips on the molding 1st. Slide them into the tabs on the molding then simply snap it in place. Much easier and does not risk breaking the clips or the molding not fitting the contour.
Glad I found this video. I have a Laramie and want to remove the fender flares. Don’t like the look of them at all. Was worried there would be holes but looks like I’m good to go 👍🏽
Great video! I drive a Bighorn as well and have considered putting fender flares on mine also. Did you paint yours or did you have it professionally done? Also, now that you've had them for awhile, have you noticed any damage to the paint where the flares come in contact to the sides of your truck? Again, Thank you for the video. I have subscribed to your channel.
Alright so I’m installing mine now… and I just noticed that I don’t have bolts/screws for the top portion of my fender flare nor is there a receiving end for a bolt/screw. Any suggestions?
Hello. I can’t find the splash guards. I have a big horn. I need the Laramie guards. I have flares just need guards. Are you able to send me the link where you brought your from. Please and thanks
What is the name of the part that is the bottom moldings?..Also you took a 2020 laramie bottom fender molding and put it on a 2019 bighorn is that right?..I purchased the these same fender flares that I'm gonna paint with rhino bed liner and I ordered the om 2019 laramie mud flaps but I did not realize that bottom small molding isn't gonna fit back on after a put the flare on. Any info to help would be appreciated. Thank you
Can you please send me a link for where you purchased the kit? I tried a set from Busheacker and they separate from the body when the sun shines in them. Obviously this isn’t good. Thank you
so5thgen it’s a plastic tab that sticks out on the backside of flare that help location of flare correctly on wheel well. I will take a photo of it today and send it to you.
@@Bigb9298 Mine had the tab at 12 o’clock. So you just push it in the hole and it’s aligned there. I left the lowest bolt on each side of the the wheel well. Pushed the flare in at the tab, then unbolted the front lowest bolt, and loose bolted in that hole. Then did the other lowest bolt the same way. This way the inner plastic piece stays put, and your flare is aligned and easy to install the rest of the bolts once you have the tab inserted and farthest bolts connected.
Have have not tried adding mud flaps I would search which ones fit a laramie + and you should be good to go. Let me know what you find bud! No issues with 305’s and a leveling
man, I ordered a pair of these OEM flares for a 22 2500. they come with a bunch of push pins that require holes drilled into the face of the fender! Not sure what my next move will be as I am not going to do that. Maybe snap them off and apply double sided tape in their place?
How far do the 20x12s stick out past the fenders with flares? I’m going back and forth between 22x10 or 22x12s. I have the flares factory on my Laramie. Thanks brutha
I just installed these OEM flares on my 1500 Ram, but mine came with an adhesive tape strip on the back with a little pull tab that you pull once you have it in place and bolted up. I bolted it in, backed off 10 cranks, and pulled the strip covering the adhesive and kind of pulled back a hair as I worked my way around (pulling of the cover of adhesive tape) No gap issues at all. I’m kind of surprised your adhesive back was missing. My instructions said to apply alcohol to the fender before install. My Autobody guy said use degreaser. So I did both. I installed just the rear fenders for now because I’m installing headers in 3 weeks and will have to take out the plastic inner fender piece to access the bolts. One cool thing was they arrived painted gloss black which is not far off my metallic black color... You have to look close to see the difference. So I saved on painting.
What would you suggest for paint protection behind the flares? I drive on sandy roads up north in Michigan and recently noticed that my bug shield had ruined the chrome on top of my headlights where it was rubbing, I could see the same thing happening on the fenders.
I am going to purchase a rubber seal that attaches to the edges of the flares. I am hoping that this will minimize or even completely eliminate any possibility of paint damage.
@@mybatterhalf6614, imho the sand would get in between the rubber and the fender and do the same thing, I think the only way to do it is like he answered my question, 3m clear tape on the fender.
SO, are we installing fender flares??? We didn't come here to watch you hawk some cleaners. I'm only in it for 15 sec. Now I'll go to an informative site to watch.
