I am a new subscriber to your great channel . All my respect for what you do to this beautiful Car, i just finished all the Volvo episodes in one time 👌🏻 . I owned in the past several Volvo's a black 740 2.3 turbo with 4 manual gears and a overdrive , A Volvo 340 with a Renault engine and a Volvo 244 B20 . engine, love Volvo 's incl their great Trucks and tractor's . Regarts from Holland 🇳🇱.

But with my dumb ass i saw and buy a BMW 535 M5 from 1986 and sell the black 740 ( stationcar to 🙄) and now i think i must put all my Volvo's in a nice tempatured Car storage for the future time . But my dad say ones to me ... brains comes when you become older and maybe when that happens to you , you gone creasy again from happiness . And he got it right 😅 . I really enjoy to watch your videos. This old Volvo is a really cool car. I love the brand. My own car is actually a Volvo, too, an XC40 from 2019. But I'm still very sad about the fact that SAAB is not alive anymore. Since I was a student, I dreamed about a brand new 9-3. This car was a really big dream. They were very special and had a great history. How about you? Do you like SAAB, too?

@@ejoautovideos min upplevelse är att det ofta låter mer inuti än utanpå med sportsytem. Som att bullret studsar runt i kupén. Hade en cab med sportsystem, där blev det mindre drönande avgasbuller när man öppnade taket. Är det några särskilda varvtal som låter extra högt i kupén går det att bygga ett avstämt rör som tar ut detta. Även om det inte är något för din 740 är det en kul lösning. Går att hitta om man söker eliminate exhaust drone.
I dont know for sure but i am quite certain that you actually don't need a cat anymore if your car is older then -92 with the new emissions rule, me and my friends have been able to inspect our cars with no cat on our old cars which came with cats stock, since they only measure "co" right now

i got basically the same exaust, but i have a normal old mans bend in the rear to look stock 😂😂 mean while it's pretty tuned my old volvo. about 160hp on the rear wheels with carburator

Är det en 88-89 eller vilken årsmodell? För 87-88a behöver du ingen katt på och 88b behöver den sitta men inte va innehåll i och 89 behöver den sitta och fungera men dom mäter bara co och det blir inte högre utan tömd katt🙈 du tjänar kraft på en orginal f utan katt☺️
Eftersom bilen är veteranare nu så slipper du avgaskraven och behöver inte katt. Men ska du sälja original katten så får du mellan 3 - 4000kr om den är oskadd, så ingen försöker blåsa dig. Mvh
Du skulle köpt en fake katalysator, ser ut som en katalysator men är en ljuddämpare, har de på min 740 88b och den gick igenom besiktning eftersom de bara kollar co på tomgång.
@@ejoautovideos samma här och sen såg jag att han bänkade div kammar så det blev en V kam för mig 😁. Då blev det plötsligt en lätt beslut vilken kam man skulle välja. Han har gjort andra bänkningar så kika in den kanalen. Allt från att sätta i en 82g termostat till att ta bort org fläkt (montera el fläkt). Har även sett tester där det minskar bränsleförbrukning att ta bort org kylar fläkt.
Nice Video. I have an 1988 740 Volvo. I have the same problem with my Trip-Meter. Does anyone know how to open it, or at least how i can remove the needle (pointer), without breaking it?
The thing is that you actually truly loose power and not a LITTLE bit... ALOT , back to back on a stock engine 35nm and 10hp at the wheels in my dyno........ its not losing of the backpressure that is the thing but the completely wrong length and diameter of the primaries and secondaries on the header ...... Sounds cool though
That doesn't sound good :/ Was it also a Simons exhaust? Do you have any experience if it is a tuned engine? How about if the head is ported and resurfaced -1 or -2mm and a moro aggressive camshaft? Would it still be a better idea to have the stock headers?
@@ejoautovideos IF you port the head and change cam, intake, valvesprings and so on there is gains to be had..... The biggest problem is the missmatched header.... Racing header = racing cam...... My main business is tuning Volvo rallycars and The group f cars make around 150-155 whp and 200wnm with H cam, no porting och skimming of the head allowed..... Stock header and 2.5 inch exhaust
why buy new calipers? i had badly seized front brakes on my ke70 corolla, all i did was new piston and gaskets and use a bit sandpaper to clean most of rust out from the cylinders, it costs about 10€ for each brake caliber without piston and about 15€ with piston :)
