I like the turn signal view, takes it to the next level verses other 360 view systems which only uses the raw side camera feed.

Most commercial motorcoaches like mine are equipped from the factory with REI sound & video. Their stuff has its pluses as well as its minuses. That camera system would never last on a commercial motorcoach . Some part time driver that don’t give a rip would rip it off on a tree limb the first time he/she drove it. Fixing driver damages is probably the single greatest maintenance expense for companies that have a fleet. I can see how the cameras would greatly benefit you though because nobody’s getting behind the wheel but you.

It hurts my brain trying to figure out how that computer makes that amazing 360° view out of the views that those 4 cameras have! Its like there is a camera suapended 10 feet above the bus but there isnt! 😲

REI has a lot of cool tech for buses. We had their audio and video systems in our charter coaches.

I didn’t get the DVR either. The Card Keeps hours. I’m dying to put mine on. Thanks for making this. I’ve not found a video anywhere about putting one in. Now mine is going to be redundant lol.

The 4 camera views will be great for security when you are parked somewhere at night!

I'm not complaining - this channel is way too cool for that in my opinion - but I thought the tint on the lower half your windshield was to cut down the glare from the rear glass of the vehicles in front of you. You've made this camera install look easy, & better yet, I've learned how these 360 degree cameras work. Thanks!

Yehh that's great system,will make life somuch easier most modern excavators have camera systems they save many life's mostly idiots who walk behind them ,they do have there own camera custom holders fabricated to mount them on the curvey panels maybe that's way to go if you want to raise camera upto roof level out of arms length

Looks brilliant, certainly is a clever system, the boys who drive the passenger busses around us could do with the same system. The single track roads are a killer and the Uig hair pin bend has seen many an inexperience driver stuck. Last year the winds picked up a bus and blew it of the road fortunately no one was hurt. Have a good weekend.

I used to install REI auto electronics..mostly remote car start and car alarms. They are very high quality but also very expensive.

When you look in your mirrors can you see the cameras on the sides ,just thinking that if they stick out from the side you could snag them on bushes or branches but if you can see them it won’t be a problem. Do they also have recording capability, if so you couldn’t ask for a better security system. Really good resolution

I was so confused when I read that you bought this system from REI. REI means Recreation Equipment Incorporated to me. Lol. I would have mounted the cameras under the drip rail.

I'm debating about either way installing this 360 system or a regular 4 channel DVR surveillance cameras what do you think ???

Now that you've gotten a year's worth of seat time with this going down the road - what are you impressions? I'm also curious beyond you're overall notes about it as a complete system and how it's worked for you, about the following: I've read that some of these system's video feeds are actually delayed (in some instances even as much as 5 seconds if the video processing unit is overheating and it's CPU is throttling at that moment) and not showing on screen what's actually happening *in that second* outside of the bus.

Does it have the ability to add an on screen marker to show where your sewer hose connection is located so that you can align with the dump station? I have threatened more than once to mount a spot light shining down on the ground attached onto that bay door.

This is an impressive 360-degree surround-view camera system! I hope REI reads this because you’re incorrectly calling it “3D”. There’s nothing about it that’s 3D, or even stereoscopic. You’ll notice that the screen is flat, not three dimensional. The driver does not wear 3D glasses. It’s terrific that it provides surround view, but please don’t call it “3D”.
