Or just use "-nodes" so the key get doesn't get created encrypted and you don't get asked for a passphrase to begin with?

docker exec into the container and install it. Or create a new image with ngnix image as base which installs the certs and use it

The issue I had was that nginx’s port 80 was needed for certbot since it also uses port 80. Instead you can just create the ssl certificate in a separate location outside the nginx docker container, then use a volume to bring the ssl certificate and key into the container, which the nginx docker container can use.

Perhaps it's already solved, but just in case: Ah, the classic 'run the script and hope for the best' move! 😅 Make sure your SSL isn't just a fancy decoration.. Sometimes, a little sweet-talking to your .sh file is all you need. Good luck! 👍
