And I was trying to figure it out by reading the manual... hahahahaha. Their manual should just refer to your youtube videos. Great job! Thank you so much!
I drive a 2011 Toyota Sienna, is there a specific seat that's better to install one of these rear facing? Like is the third row better than second or vice versa?
Hi Brittani. It depends on your family and setup. As far as safety, the center of the vehicle is considered safest since it's furthest from side impacts, so if you can install there and it's easy for you, that's where I'd do it. However, I know many caregivers have back issues or arm/wrist issues, so I always take that into consideration as well and advise a side install in those cases-either side is fine as statistics indicate no real difference in safety. If you are installing for your only child, decide if you prefer to have them on the passenger side or driver side (if installing on the side) in the 2nd row. (FWIW, I find the 3rd row to be a PITA for a RF install if you have a 2nd row installation available). Some parents like to hand/throw things back and it's easier if the child is on the passenger side. I preferred my child to be on the driver side for easier loading/unloading until my 2nd child came along. HTH!
