I'm going to install one of those metal lock boxes inside mine for my own 2A accessories.

Not that I am saying you shouldn't... But some people aren't aware that the lid on these consoles also locks. It's not as secure as a safe inside, but it will stop any thief of opportunity without tools (90%) and those console safes are VERY easy to pick or break for the other 10% that brought tools. For my money, the console lid lock is good enough, but I understand feeling more comfortable with the console safe. Then again, two locks is better than one.

Thanks for the video of install. I already have my Raptor kitted out with the panels in the bed. Added the seat back metal one tonight. Going to do the small tech panel one like this an evening this week. Very helpful video!

Looks cool, but I don't understand why? Anything that gets mounted there is just going to make the lid heavier.

It does make the kid heavy, but it just means you hold it open, which I've found I do already anyway.

Nice video. I just installed the BuiltRight latch release for the rear seat, and it is a very high quality product. How much room is there underneath the closed cover? Does it interfere with the little tray that comes with the truck, or did you have to remove that?

There's plenty of room for all of my junk in there. Even with my accessories on the plate, there's lots of room for all of the stuff in the tray

Ok, so even being careful I broke three of the white clips when they popped out. Any idea on where I can order replacements?

@@TruckStuff1 thank you! I can tell you there is a significant difference in quality of these clips from my 2020 vs my 2016. Never broke a single one on the 2016 doing same mods and installing BR dash mount. 2020 about 50% are breaking. Very transparent white colored clips that are GARBAGE.

I like the video, your care of install and the way the panel looks. However, I’m failing to see the point of the panel…? Just for added weight or for looks?

Essentially yes. It adds some function, but it's also aesthetic.
