You will need to know the owners original set code to insert the “special tool” and reset it! From the manufacturer: Keyless Combo Instructions: Note: Please make sure lid is in the open position before beginning the following steps. Instructions for setting your personal keyless combination: 1. The combination is factory-set at 0 - 0 - 0. 2. The combination must be on opening number prior to resetting. 3. On the underside outer edge of the lock there is a hole for the code reset button. Rotate the face of cam until the code reset button comes into view. 4. Push this pin in with a paper clip and keep it pushed in. 5. Set your personal combination by turning the dials to the desired combination. 6. Release the reset button and your new combination is set. 7. To lock, rotate lock to “Locked” position. Rotate one or more dials after lock is closed. 8. Then, to open the lock, turn dials to your personal combination.

Probably not, they figure they don’t have anything valuable or they would have a newer truck by now! 😂 You could probably have the rest of the week off after all that overtime from the weeks I didn’t post a video and you kept working!

@@vehcor Only thing valuable is the code reader I have to keep in there. I dont want to have another car payment, or Id have something newer...like a 99 or 2000. LOL! I cant believe you remembered I start my weekend at the Vehcor notification!

Just giving you a hard time. I rebuilt quite a few 94-04 S10s and Blazers as well as the GMC and Olds equivalents. They were great vehicles.

@@vehcor Oh I know you were. I can give and take...lol. My S10 has a 4.3 Vortec and has almost 339,000. I got it with 286,000 on it 6 years ago. Supposedly the original motor according to a GM guy that has worked on it. Takes a good amount of PM, but still runs well...until yesterday. Guess it heard you talking about it. It decided to rupture a coolant hose.

I know it isn’t perfect but it slows the thief down so he is there when I get back. I’ll take it from there.

I just learned that the other day after wondering what “LD” meant on the tailgate of what I thought was just any other 14-18 1500. Must’ve just been trying to use up leftover parts?

He changed it when it would open, because the code was 0000, when he set his own personal code it locks the lock and you now need the same code he used to be able to reset it… Keyless Combo Instructions: Note: Please make sure lid is in the open position before beginning the following steps. Yeah, works on 1964 EH Holden here in Australia also.
