Nice video, looks like you need to fine tune it as every hole you drilled did not line up with the laser. You could see the drill bit shift (tracking the hole) as you came down. That being said it is an easy adjustment as I have had one of these for years and it comes in handy all the time.
I noticed the same thing. If you jump to 2:35 where he is drilling holes, then go into YT setup (the gear icon) you can slow the playback speed down to 1/4 speed and clearly see the drill being dragged over into the center punch hole. But you can also see that the laser is set pretty darn close to the impact point of the drill. Some of the misalignment may be (and no reflection of MF as it has happened to me) that placement of the center punch mark under the crossed laser lines is totally dependent on the user and their visual acuity. If the laser lines are blurry or too wide it is difficult to position the punch mark directly under the laser cross hairs.
Good video. Thanks. I just finished installing on an old Craftsman floor standing drill press. I had a minor problem. The LASER blocked the light built into the casting. My solution was to screw in one of the old adapters so I could plug in an extension cord. Now I just need a light fixture I can wire in. Hope this helps someone install just once.
Mike is there any reason you flipped that top bracket? The instructions don't show that. Is it because the laser rays will be thinner as they are closer to being directly above the drill point. Thanks for a good video
