I received my Mustard tail tidy today. Took 9 days to arrive in the UK. If you have any doubts about Mustard products dismiss them. I got an excellent quality, well designed product, very friendly and polite service. The little hand written note on the box was just another nice gesture. 10 out of 10 for Mustard. Thanks Mark.
Thank's for the feedback Kawasaki Kid! We do our best on all aspects of what we do, and like to think it makes the difference. Glad Australia Post came to the party and got it to you promptly as well.
@@leahall we still export to the UK, but due to the current UK import laws we can only do so via eBay. UK now requires sellers to collect the import VAT, which is very difficult for smaller retailers due to the complexity of calculating, collecting, registering and paying the required taxes. In the case of eBay they are the "seller" so they facilitate the tax collection. Let us know what you are chasing via our website and we can send you a direct link to the relevant eBay item.
Thanks for the very clear instructions and good product. I installed the tidy today and it went smoothly. I can only advise that if you try to put the fairing back on, check if the grommet doesn’t have the rubber around it. That was the case for me and I didn’t get them back in. Until I discovered to remove the rubber ring from the grommet and put that back into the holes of the frame . After that it was click clack click done. The screws for the tidy where long enough to allow me to add the reflector back so i am happy with that.
Thanks for the feedback Mattijs! Glad your happy with the product and thank you for the advise. Indeed from memory we had that happen to us once as well.
Glad you thought of a reflector add-on kit too. Someone fined last weekend by motorcycle cop for not having rear reflector on their bike after installing a tail tidy (Bruce Hwy, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, AU).
That's why we came up with it Neil. Never used to be a problem (and in many places still isn't) but especially QLD and NSW the constabulary like to get a carried away at times.
Great tutorial and product. Installed on z900rs Cafe no worries. Just a heads up, my 2018 model had two black wires for the numberplate light. You can tell the power/red wire by the tiny little writing on the other end.
Awesome product. RU-vid vid's make it well easy. And 'The Zed' looks even more pretty than she did before. Maybe you'll see your handiwork buzzing round Hobart! Just a quick note for anyone who - like me - has a Givi gear rack on the back of their Z-RS. The standard bolts are too short - before you pull it all apart. If you go with 4 x 35mm M8 bolts (30mm will work but it's . . . tight . . . if you can excuse the pun. Maybe add some locktite) and put the Tail Tidy in between the rack ( which hangs below) and the bike, it looks very speccie. You just need to be a little creative about the wiring.
I just ordered one for 2015 Kawasaki z1000 but so far I can't find an install video, but all the ones for other bikes I've found these are the best and easiest fender eliminators to install.
Hi Richard, we didn't do the video's when we designed the 15 Z1000 eliminator, however you'll find a written guide comes with it and that installation will be quite similar to the Z900RS in process. We're always happy to help via the help@mustardbikes.com email if you run into any issues too.
You could make it work, however you would need longer bolts than supplied in the kit and you would need to mount the fender eliminator first, then the bracket.
Will installing this eliminator not allow for saddlebags to be used? I saw that you have to remove the bracket that holds the reflectors and the mounting for the bags. Thanks, and great video.
Hi Norman, quite a few of our customers have reinstalled using the reflector bracket so they can retain the reflectors/hooks. You may need to source some longer bolts to make it work however. Hope that helps!
@@MustardBikes When you reconnect the electrical part, I did not realize that there were those two wires with no connection. You turned off a black, a white and a blue and in the end connected just two. You can explain better.
@@leonardozeni9766 We have a separate video showing how to fit the LED light with the OEM plug. The two other plugs you mention are for the indicators. The third is for the LED light. In the video there is a link that pops up to the extra video. Hope that helps!
Any idea why the plate light you supplied will not work Its wired correctly 💯 i tried 2 others i had they did not work either But oem does , it seems to have some kind of circuitry in it ?
Did you get one without a plug or one of the newer kits with a plug? It could be several reasons but feel free to email us with for more direct help if you wish. help@mustardbikes.com
Hi Jacob, we haven't gotten our hands on a 650RS yet, so unfortunately can't say if it fits or if the installation is the same as yet. As soon as we can get a hold of one we will be working on either a new video or a new product.
Thank's for the feedback Andre. We have been on the lookout for a lapel mic that syncs with our camera but no luck so far....probably because we aren't super clued in with videography! Any tips feel free to let us know.
They are the stock signals provided for the rest of the world. American laws require incandescent bulbs to be fitted still which is why you guys get different ones. The mounting points are still the same.
@@MustardBikes I'm jealous that the rest of the world is getting better quality rubber grommets on the turn signals, mine have broken off already and I'm not happy about it! The rubber on the US model is absolute crap and if you push the rubber through into the bracket it'll probably crack and break. I wasn't trying to make fun of this product or your vid.
That's because we maintain our workshop and clean it before making the video's! We mostly manufacture fender eliminators so that's why we pretty much just do tail tidy install video's. We could definitely look into doing some general maintenance videos etc if there was interest in that however.
