Installing a Powerhouse Transmission on a 1955 Colormatic Penn reel. 

@@derekdowney5157 The transmission was invented to increase the amount of line retrieval in one crank, so that if your fishing off the coast in 600’ you could “check your bait” more easily. However in reality they’re not good once you hook a large fish- you couldn’t turn the handle.

So why do it get a reel that does the the job ?
