Thanks for your message. Pay attention if you have the BOSE upgrade and make sure you get the right can decoder.

@@ryanthomastew it is but if you check the other comments some people had difficulties with the BOSE system. I believe you just need the right decoder. The unit itself is compatible.

this video is GREAT! Can you explain how the head unit knows that the car is in reverse when you haven't wired it to the reverse lights? I heard something mentioned about "CAN Bus" but I don't exactly know what that means

The unit received the info from the car via CAN BUS that it is in reverse, and then the unit power up the camera.

From the video it looks like you connect the little red wire on the camera rca signal wire to the B+ on the radio wiring harness, and this gives the camera power, if you also connect both little red wires together at the camera end.

Hows the radio working out for you so far? I'm probably going to pick up the same unit and a similar backup camera.

Hi. The radio is working great. The backup camera works ok. The internal mic is useless. I have already an external one to mount and test. Overall I am happy with the purchase. The radio works fine, the CarPlay work flawlessly.

Even if the angle is bad I think I prefer this to something that won't look as nice visually. I can't find any other options that I like. I know there are other options for the Toureg but I don't know yet uf they work for the Cayenne. Does the light for the license plate look the same as the other one at night? Did you have to change that bulb to LED? Obrigado amigo!

Hi. I have been searching and also cannot find something that looks better. For the time being I will keep it. The be sure if it fit you must measure the distance between the holes. There are 2 versions and you need the longer one. I’ve replaced the bulb with an led bulb. It’s not exactly the same color but it is pretty close.

Code 8888 is often the generic one for Chinese head units. It is worth a try.@@GFI

How do you like the angle of the camera? Mine is really pointing downwards so it only shows the road almost under the car (50 cm max); I prefer a lens that is tilted a bit more parallel to see the cars or people passing behind my car when I'm backing up.

I hate the camera angle. It’s like you says, really pointing downwards. It’s really annoying. At the same time is funny that it points downwards but it cannot show the tow ball grrrrrr. It’s strange for normal use and cannot help to get the trailer attached. I am already searching for a replacement.

@@GFI I ordered "Pyle License Plate Rear View Camera" from Amazon (RU-vid deleted my comment when I posted a link to the product) as a replacement; the downside is that it's a bar that mounts on the license plate instead of the covert license plate light placement but the camera can be tilted up and down, so I guess you win some and you lose some.

I'm considering installing this XTRONS system to my 955 Cayenne which has a factory installed rear view camera (the one that pops up from below the rear wiper). Do you know if the features you showed here also may work with this camera ? Thanks.

Hi. Not sure. Check the video connection from the original camera. The unit trigger the reverse camera via the can bus system. I mean you have a video signal connection and a wire to trigger the camera directly from the unit. But I don’t know how the original camera connects to the the original head unit. If you figure it out please share it in here.

It should be the same wiring. Have a look in your wires. It’s simple to pull the unit out.

If not the PCCM+ classic system is available for your 955 and should be compatible.

If I remember correctly you have to push it out. It has a bunch of metal springs.
