After months of having to get out of the car to open and close our ranch gate, we finally installed an automatic gate opener! We may add a locking latch later, but for now it is a huge improvement!
Would this work in areas with extremely low Temps during the winter, consistently below freezing? Or would that kill the batteries ability to hold a charge?
I really don’t know- the Ghost Controls website may have an answer, though. The opener wasn’t damaged during the TX polar vortex, but we also didn’t use it during those 5 days, so…👀
The brackets were part of the gate motor kit. We bought the U bolts at Home Depot to go around the pipe. We're having problems with it slipping around the pipe, though, so we need to be able to set it firmer to the pipe. That's on our to-do list!
