I just installed the tow tap, and I wanted to show ya'll how I did it and what I used. I also forgot to mention the valve that I used, so I linked it below. Enjoy Valve www.amazon.com/dp/B07QJWVPZ6?...
What type of pipe (hose) did you use. I have seen a 3/4 heater hose which seems a little more ridged and also a 3/4 red water hose but this hose seems a bit soft. What would you recommend or what did you use in your install.
So, the biggest problem is reaching the hose when you are on the water since you can only take off the seat. Most of the hose is out of view. Some people will add on some hose. Mine did have some extra, and it was in a loop. You could zip-tie it closer to the hole where you put a tow pole and clamp it.
It must stay open. It provides cooling when engine is on. When engine is off I can do a back flow and Flood the engine. I have it zip tied to make sure it stays open and only close when in tow
