Comments about the $200-300 enclosure premium over the breaker aside. Non-ignition protected breaker in a not really ignition protecting enclosure. So big and ugly betting on most wanting to mount it in the engine room where it shouldn't be? It seems all are just concerned with protecting dock power entry, ignoring onboard generator/inverter supply. The latter is more likely to be a hazard in use away from dock. I have not been in a domestic marina allowing swimming, barely working on your boat in the water. Still, I would anchor out before working in the water if possible. Looks like Carling makes the BlueSea, not finding it labled as Carling in the market past the website. Anyone know why? We still have C19 breaker shortages. Presently, I have limited use intentionally for AC onboard. Like to see what others are doing. Europe-Japan seem to have similar devices, just not named ELCI, din rail standards.

I have a boostable transformer. Should the ELCI be installed before or after the transformer?

Is this the same as the RCD? Residual Current Device

Any thoughts on the Southwire 67060-001 30A Portable ELCI Device that connects to the shore power cable?
