thank you so much for the post. Its very helpful, clear, neat, detail. I am a networking beginner. Can you please help me learn how to install and configure Cisco IP phones for a corporate office(which already has a leased line connection). And also how to create network connection between two floors a single building.
IP-Phones has 2 ports, one for a switch and for a pc, inside the IP Phone box you will find a cable, use that cable to connect, to configure it is simple go to google browser and ask, you have to configure first the switch by creating vlans, assigning ports to each VLAN, one for voice and one for data, for eg, then you need a router configuration, by creating DHCP pool, telephony service etc.
Thanks for this helpful tutorial but may I ask why do you configure 2 interface ? (serial and fastE) I 'm sorry but i dont understand it fully. What is serial and fast ethernet for?
Jose Nava and easier and faster connection options 2mbps is rather slow compared to what's available. Even an aircard with a Cradlepoint would do better than 2mbps
