I use the Carlinkit Tbox Plus CPC200-Tbox Plus Android 13.0 Internet AI Box-Wireless Apple Carplay&Android Auto(8+128G) in my DT Ram 1500 on IPhone 13. ExploreOz Traveller app works perfectly. 👌🏼

This demo is using an iPhone14 thats not old and the phone model makes no difference.

Does using the android version mean you need to buy an additional licence as I thought the app licence is specific to the OS / platform?

Yes these AI box adapter enable you to run a full Android OS via your headunit display so that you can access the Google Playstore (which you cant via CarPlay only headunits) so yes you then buy an Android licence for any app you want to use on that headunit such as ExplorOz Traveller. Only a one time payment of $59.99 no extras.

@@ExplorOz-Traveller Hi, Thanks for the reply. We already have an iOS licence (and online access to the app) and wanted to have access via Apple CarPlay... the above seems like a very expensive alternative. Thanks, Fausto

@@faustopighin it wouldn’t be an issue if the headunit gave access to the app stores so yeah this is the only cheaper solution to replacing the Headunit.

Android auto does not give access to the Google Playstore - as those headunits are not built with an open Android operating system - thats the whole point of the AI box it is the Android os that enables you to access the Playstore.

@@Producable this is not something we think we’ll take to market as there are already a few on the market at a good price and we cannot compete. WE have lots of customers already using other branded AI Box adapters with our app. We have listed the brands that people have told us they are using on the Traveller webpage - www.exploroz.com/traveller go to the FAQ tab - then read the full section on Headunits - its specifically gives lists a couple with links to their websites.
