Installing BMW M2 Kidney Grilles On A 1 series E88 E87 E82 E81 1M

I will be installing a pair of BMW M2 style twin blade Kidney Grills on a 1 series convertible (E88)
It goes to show how much a small difference can make a big difference!
✅ This will also fit the 2 door coupe (E82).
✅ Will fit E87 5 door hatchback 2007 on facelift (However it will not fit for BMW E87 with M sport bumper)
✅ Will fit BMW E81 3 door hatchback all models (without M sport bumper).
✅ Will fit BMW 1M
❌ If you have (E81/E87 hatchback M sport model these grilles will not fit your model)

Don’t try this in cold weather. The plastic bumper won’t move as much as in the vid so you have no rooms to undo the clips. Learnt from experience

Neat video bro! It looks quite agressive with the black grille! Though i do like the standard as well. I will have to buy a new grille for the Clubsport if im going to change from Halogen to Bi-Xenon light sets... Thinking on doing it after the warranty goes out though. I really want the bi-xenons coz they add that Red stripe followingvthrough from gti grille then goes straight through the headlamp covers which looks so cool on the GTI's u know :)

3DFX Cheers bro! Yeah it definitely made it look more aggressive and me too I like the standard one but i’m going for a blacked out look on this. Yeah that would be cool getting the bi xenons those red accents really do set off the gti especially for the clubsport

Thanks for the vid. I just switched my immaculate, low kms, manual, Le Mans blue 135i back to original silver grills. To me it looks a lot better, it looks ‘right’ for the car.

Hey man, Great video, Grills look awesome!! I just had my bonnet wrapped in carbon fibre (got a few stone chips and they were doing my head in!!!) Got a blue 120d coupe....car looks mint..just need the black grills now LOL I ordered mine from the link you posted. thanks again for the tip

Good vid mate. If I was u, I’d replace the bmw badges with the black and white ones. I’d also wrap the lights in fly eye or light smoke tint.

Oh don’t worry about that mate, I’m gonna do the badge in black and red to match the theme soon and also i’ve got a plan for some angel eyes I’m gonna try and install myself. Also i’ll be tinting the rear lights and maybe the headlights 😄

Its a 2006 118d, I like this year for the 1 series as it has the older M47 engine but with the newer 6 speed gearbox, I think this is the only year they did this. I far prefer the looks of yours though.

I bought the double cut kidney grill which i recieved today, and it didnt fit😆 and i’ve looked around the internett for the past 4days looking for a double cut grill that fits my car. But i cant find any, i’ve only found ones that fit the non-Msport edition. Do you have any advice?😀

@@CARLISONIT I have an e81. The kidney grill is different on M Sport models. They have a pointy corner while the grills on Non M Sports have a rounded edge. Hopefully people read this comment before they buy!
