Great job on the table, in spite of your helper nodding off on you. Hope he gets another chance to assist.

Thanks! It was a very fun project and I learned a ton. Regarding James, I hope to give him plenty of opportunities over the years to come 😊

Great video. You’d be lost without your helper though. He was brilliant. 😂

😂 that he is! Hoping to have his help more often. Not quite big enough for proper hearing protection so it’s limited to the quiet stuff for now.

That’s a company that believes in their products, I’m guessing it’s made in US, and who doesn’t love a Tootsie Lollipop.

They are! Made in California. I LOVE them and have been using them for other projects as well. And yes! Love the tootsie! 😂

Great video! For a 1.5" thick table thats 50" w what size C-Channel would you use? is 1.5" w with a long 3/4" leg big enough, or go with a 2"w x 1" leg? And would 3 be enough for an 8' table length? Thanks!

Great questions all around! Bidwell Wood and iron has an informative table on their website, which I believe recommends 3 to 4 inches on either side of the C channel to the edge of the table. I will link it below. Regarding how many, three sounds reasonable, do you have breadboard ends?

@@NorthwestCraftsman Hi, thanks for the quick response. No breadboard ends, and I'm going to use maybe 6-8" wide boards to make up the 50" of total width - to also try to reduce the cupping.

Sounds good! I’m also realizing that I never linked Bidwell. bidwellwoodandiron.com/pages/channel 3 seems sufficient to me. I’d probably place them about a 6 inches to a foot away from each end and then center the last one. I’d love to see how it turns out! If you’re willing, email me some photos. My email should be on the about page of my channel.
