Excellent video. Your paint pose idea is brilliant. Gonna use that for my Coleman Pop-up camper. Thanks!

Thank you. I saw someone else use one. So I can't claim the idea.

For your internet I would get an external router as the modem is right at the antenna and there is no signal loss in cables or signal threw walls. Then if you have good internet with the cell router get a "Cellular Network Extender" to get full signal and it can provide five bars of service with 3.5mbps of connection to the cell router that gets slamming service on a mass that can telescope up when needed. Use a 4x4 MiMo aftermarket modem in the router, M.2 or PCIE mini WWAN card. Quectel Cat16 or Foxconn T77W968 Cat16 modems get best 4G throughput! Hope this helps!

We have the WeBoost. I would have liked to find this cheaper one, but went with the name brand. We find it helps a lot, but in some areas there just is no cell signal to boost at all. Some days we have to leave our campsite and head into town to find a signal.

I’ve found that if you put your phone in airplane mode then turn on the booster then turn off airplane mode your phone kinda rethinks what it’s doing and grabs the stronger boosted signal. If your phone thinks that the 1 bar that it already has is sufficient it’s not going to jump to stronger signal just because you want it to.

Hate to rain on the parade but I did the hill billy solution... I took a tupperware cup with lid, placed an older model smart cellphone in there hooked to a lengthy usb cable (to power the thing) and have the cellphone do a tethering setup between the cell network and the wifi capability... I use a telescopic fishing pole minus the thin parts at the end (totalling about 20 feet or so) and hold the fishing pole up strapping it to the van or even a tree... It improves reception very well without the need for expensive boosters or the like. It may benefit from a longer mast but that seems to be a costly thing to get right...the 20 foot fishing pole works but is not über great I must admit...the top bit s=has some flex to it and could become an issue in future becoming weak and breaking maybe... All other devices connect to the tether and work great, even in rural and slightly remote areas.

Nice! A buddy suggested a similar solution to me, but I have a remote job so I thought I should go a little more proper. But, kudos!

No problem. An update, I have been traveling the US for 6 months now and have always had internet, between the 2 sims the external antenna and in rare cases the booster. Had a couple spots I would have not been able to stay without it, that I was able to get usable internet for work with it.

You have to have "some" signal to boost.

One question how far does it work from your indoor ant. Some have great range some you have to be on top of it to work thanks
@CasaNowhere
@CasaNowhere 10 месяцев назад
It only works so far but if you are using the internal antennas to boost the signal to a hot spot or lte router then you have signal everywhere you have wifi.

Intereting devise. Does it also amplify computer signals as well for computer use outdoors and not just cell phones alone? I'd be interested in knowing this. Can anyone give soem details as I can get a "Weboost" unit cheap and if it can also serve as a computer signal booster for computers I might purchase it. Can anyone enlighten me?

I might add, I don't use a cell phone.

so I use the booster to get signal to my lte router (for my computer) that router then has wifi that lets me use my computer.
