This 20x30 shop is going to have several power tools and laser engravers and many other power hungry applications so its time to get the electrical outlets and light boxes wired for use. In this video I run 14 and 12 awg wire to lights and outlets. Next I get the receptacles installed as well as light switches. I do get the wire installed into the main breaker box but dont show that on camera.

That is a lot of work. I was expecting you'd put some outlets higher for "above the bench/countertop" power, are there plans for mounting power strips to the front/underside of the workbenches and countertops?

I went back and forth on outlet placement. Yes there will be power strips mounted. Might take them through the bench and up on the wall. Will have to see how that goes.

Why not place outlet boxes at 40-48" height (European style)? Prevents having to bend down to plug in and blocking outlet with boxes, tools, equipment, etc.

think the answer is NO. but i will ask the question . can both of those separate electrical systems share the SAME GROUND ROD. please. explain why. is it because in the rare case of a fault or short circuit current will enter the other system thank you

Because this is a grid sub panel system and off grid system I have them linked to the same ground. You have to make sure that the neutral/ground link in the off grid inverter is disconnected. My orient power inverter had a single screw that separated the neutral from ground. All use the same ground rod.

Why not a gray switch when you enter the building?

Would have been a good idea. The gray is mostly a backup on the other power system.

What screws did you use to attach Fiber Cement Siding?
@sethcraftworkshop

I used exterior deck screws However you should use galvanized spiral shank nails to be proper.
