Good idea with dremel. Could had used a sanding wheel attachment to smooth out the edges too. Appreciate you sharing this process as I plan to do it soon on my JL.
Use the soft cold twist especially if you run a Clayton overland lift. Perfoformance is too stiff. Great on road but makes rock gardens a freaking slow roll.
I have the 21 JTR and my wife and I HATE the fox 2.0’s. So much bounce on the roads and we are tossed around (not literally) but it’s uncomfortable. What setting would you have yours now for in city driving?
The Fox shocks that I replaced are still sitting in a bag outside the garage! 😂 When I initially set the shocks to performance by rotating the piston, it definitely stiffened them up. I now keep them adjusted all the way down to 1 while driving around town. It’s amazing how well it takes corners on the highway now though! If you’re looking for a softer ride, reverse the rotation of the piston when installing the shocks. I’m told it makes a completely different, smoother ride.
I Have the RK RRD shocks along with their X Mid arm system and as for the shocks, i don't care for them. The liftt is incredible with the true 4 link in the back with no track bar but the shocks are way too soft for my taste for daily driving. A lot of body roll when you hit a bump or going over a speed bump but off road they do amazing. The rear end just feels too loose. I have a set of falcons on the way and can't wait to see the difference.
