That's fantastic! We only have a few acres, or I'd consider at least a few sheep. I really enjoy your posts. Know that I pray for my favorite Linden Family!!!!

It got really cold here in Indiana my little camper I’m living in did ok I was good and warm but the water froze that day of -06 with wind chill of -30 but thankfully it thawed out without busting a couple days later there’s one spot I couldn’t get air blown in and I think the line runs along the outside wall in contact with the outside wall is why it froze but I made it had several jugs filled just for that reason thanks for sharing buddy hope you all had a great Christmas

If we use our camper in the winter we will use a circulate heat in the under belly, it is decently insulated under there. Coldest we have ever stayed in it was -11 and if froze up by the kitchen sink. Thankfully like your situation it didn't bust and it thawed relatively quickly the next day as well. Glad you made it through warm and safe with minimal issues! Sounds like you were better prepared than we were when it happens too. We were using water from the bathroom sink for dishes and drinking while it was frozen 🤣 hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well and happy New Year!

Thank you so much! It's taken us 5 years to make it this far and we have dreams to go farther! Thank you for the sub and I hope you will stick around for our journey. We have tried to show everything from the beginning of our fencing, building our barns, growing our flock, cutting our hay, etc. I know our earlier videos the audio and video quality were rougher but we have better cameras and sound quality on our newer videos to make it easier to watch and help others learn from our mistakes!

Excellent information, can't get enough of your content. What is the genetic makeup of your flock and do you sell breeding stock 🤔.
@FreedomFarmsMo
@FreedomFarmsMo Год назад
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the channel! Our flock is made up of katahdins mostly, with a couple mix breed dorper katahdins, and a couple misfit that were rescue situations. Currently we do not sell breeding stock as we are keeping all of our ewe lambs every year until we grow to 350 ewes we are almost halfway there at 160 ewes currently. Once we reach that milestone we will begin to sell breeding stock.

How do you like those round hay feeders? Any idea what % the sheep waste with them?
@FreedomFarmsMo
@FreedomFarmsMo Год назад
We made them ourselves. Our waste is minimal. We went from needing 1 bale per ewe for 3 months of feeding when we use to unroll bales in the pasture, to when we moved in the barn and wrapped bales with cattle panels using 1/2 bale a ewe, to now with our feeders we made we use less than 1/3 a bale a ewe for the same 3 month time frame.
