Such a cute fireplace. Well done on installing the boot on the ceiling. It looks pretty tight. Lola looks so comfy and content in her bed. Good luck with the coffee. 🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
Love seeing your video logs every week. I had to laugh at how small your wood fire is, it’s great to see your perseverance always finds a way to happiness!
I agree. I’m watching all the shows, TrentandAllie, EamonandBec, and a few others that I can’t recall the names of. Most of the group have safety glasses but constantly don’t use. It’s very hard to watch you guys get hurt. Getting metal in the eye is a bad injury not to mention the pain and finding someone that can help get out the metal because you don’t wanna do that yourself. Please use your safety glasses. I love you guys. You guys are like my kids so behave down there.
Here is a suggestion for the wood stove issue: replace the platform with one that is double the width of the current one, so then you can really shoot the stove over to the left side of the platform and use the right side to stack wood. you can even add verticle supports on the right side, almost like book ends, so you can pile wood high.
Glad to see that you found a solution to the "oops"👏👏👏 The tour of the coffee processing farm was so interesting! Gotta save up my pennies so I can order me some!🤩🤗💜 I love that you say good night to your goats❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe, be well and see ya next time👋👋👋👋
Hey, K& J. I love your channel and the commercials you chose today. Kaylee jas great charisma selling, and today it's your geisha coffee. I'm ordering some.
Kayle ( I hope I spelled your name correctly)....Be carful of colic while eating Jackfruit it doesn’t mix well with other foods. I grew up eating that, I used get colic every time of course I didn’t care because I loved it so much. If you do get colic some warm compresses applied to the tummy helps.
the "WILD RIDE" just arrived in berlin today ! ! ! more than excited about my morning movement early tomorrow - THANK YOU GUYS - will order GEISHA next 🤗 keep up stay happy & healthy !
It’s not a level. The plumb bob’s job is called plumb ,plumb means vertical relative to gravity. . You didn’t need to move the stove . A shield( metal) on the end of the shelf would be all you needed to do. I believe the pipe is type B vent. . The gasket will leak because it’s meant for a flat roof, not corrugated. .
Can you tell me the make and model of that little stove? I have been looking for a small survival stove for my rabbits and quail in my garage without the huge square foot impact. USA Central Illinois. Thank you for showing us we can all live our dreams.
Good job on the install however a chimney is to get the smoke out of your habitation not the heat. You could get fancy and install a stainless air gapped plate underneath your shelving but easier just do not put your expensive electronic tools on that side of it. No more than you would put your diesel powered chainsaw above your mantle piece. Electronic like warm and dry they do not like hot and dry plus of course flammable liquids. Actually even though Kayleigh likes to show off that she can do anything she did before she got pregnant and why not in fact probably good for her and the baby. One of the side effects of pregnancy is sometimes a hyper sensitivity mainly to smells(This may be an evolutionary hangover a pregnant woman is obviously less mobile or able to defend themselves so any forewarning of danger was a good thing) so again a good idea.
Kaylee, Marilyn here. I'm a retired labor and delivery nurse. So naturally I wonder what prenatal care is like there. Also, is there a hospital there? Or will you deliver at home with a midwife? Thanks! PS: hope you don't mind the questions.
Kaylee was that fruit call (Toreto) you were cutting? I promised you I was about to ask you if you had tried this fruit. Because it is absolutely amazing!!!!! I have not eating this since I was a teenager ☹
My husband and I are no longer receiving email notifications for your coffee sales. We have both gone back in and signed up again without success. I have ordered your wonderful coffees a few times now, but sadly never seem to be lucky enough to get in on the specialty offers. Is there any way to resolve the notification issue? Thank you.
At my grandparent's home, their wood stove went through a metal "thimble" in the wall, with an extension beyond the roof edge, and then pipe up from the extension. The last half of this pdf shows how it's done. northlineexpress.com/content/pdf/5-8duratechinstallationinstructions.pdf With the type of roof you have, I'd take it through the wall instead, to avoid rain instrusion where the pipe would go through that corrugated roof.
When are you going to fix the homepage So I can Order Coffe from your shop ?????????????? I have asked the last 6-7 month :( I live in Denmark and cant select my contry
damn thats super weird to me that everyone competes using that one strain, thats like if everyone at cannabis cup brought the same strain, cool but very strange at the same time
Yesterday I walked all the way from Alto Doraro to Boquete , up the hill to Jaramillo Arriba across the hill & back down to Boquete looking for the farm. Needless to say I didn't find it but had a good long walk w/ some great views . I was hoping to talk to Rodrigo about helping him w/ his build .
*_ Pipe is to small for one of those, best is get an 'H' shaped one, we use them on Sailing Yachts and if ever there was a water problem it solves it in its tracks! _*
I’ve been ‘selling’ coffee for over 14 yrs now - in my small little delivery business... in 2020 I decided to start roasting coffee for my beautiful customers.... I love the process - and I super enjoy when you show us your coffee adventures... some day I’d love to visit and see your process first hand !! Cheers to fellow coffee lovers ! ☕️
10 minutes in your company is faster than a coffee break ^^ It goes too fast! When will the bed be installed in the workshop? Downstairs would be best no climbing in the shade or darkness, that steep ladder makes me worried about you! See y'all saturday ! Be safe!
Seriously though, things for great coffee: altitude, shade, having ripe red sweet berries at picking time (hire pickers that care to pick only the best), getting the outer shell off completely (it's bitter), roasting until the inner bean is cooked completely, but not burned up. Finally, the finer the grind, the more caffeine will be able to be extracted. Don't do light roast, or green roast, let the fake connoiseurs on blue mtn. do that shit.
About the chimney cap. There is a cap that is a weather vain cap and it directs the smoke io flow with the wind and the cap allows the wind to travel around it with no resistance. So this also prevents down drafts
Hey you two. How are you going to raise your new baby in a workshop/house that small with all your dog and cat and all your neighbors. You gonna need a home/house. Have you ever thought about a YURT? Not much money, and you can build it in one day. YURTS are very versatile. They work in most climates. Ask your subscribers to help you finance it. I'm sure they would be happy to help you. I am 80 and retired and love you guys and watch you from Vietnam where I retired. Anyway check out a Yurt. I know you would love it. And your new baby would too. Shalom
I'm a roofer and just a little tip, when you fit that decktite (the rubber seal for the pipe) put it as a diamond shape on the roof, rather than the square matching the roof shape. This allows water to easily travel around the decktite rather than pool at the top.
@Insert The thing I had issues with was the last picture from the roof that showed a depression in the rubber boot between the pipe and the mounting plate. In the US we typically see the boot stretched out upward preventing the collection of water in a valley around the pipe. When the valley ring gets full it looks like it would only be relying upon the tension of the boot to the pipe to keep water from running into the house. Does that make sense?
Hey guys, Great video! Enjoy your adventures :). Quick note, it looked like that might be single wall galvanized pipe? If so, it’s super toxic when super heated the first few times. Just a note that might be worth mentioning? If it’s double walled chimney pipe disregard :). Just a quick FYI
Kaylee, you got my hopes up so high when I heard you suggest @ 8:55 an event including "Scrapple Nights" .... then disappointed me by repeatedly saying playing SCRABBLE instead ! Dad used to make us scrapple for breakfasts on weekends, often preparing it the night before with pre slicing and coating slabs of it with flour, salt and pepper to allow it to go in the frying pan after the bacon was prepared for breakfast. OH WELL !.... Since your stove is so tiny, you may want to make a special trash can for wood chunks to fit that opening... just cut a hole like the stoves front opening (only slightly smaller) in the lid of the can and maybe magic marker a ruler on top for depth allowed. Then when you have "off cuts" leftover from projects, you can see that they'll fit before going in the bin for recycling as fuel. Think you should widen the platform for stove a good deal for other purposes, like a warming spot for bagels, bread, or coffee, and for making toast immediately beside or on top of stove. For future proofing, do you think making a ship's ladder type stair may be a good idea for Kaylee with the baby coming ? Can't climb and hold a baby (not very safely). See this for reference : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_ZQf4eFBuxk.html scroll up to about 2:50 in video for pertinent parts. I don't drink coffee often and I'm considering a bag or 3 as gifts !
I have been thinking about this and I believe Kaylee could make some extra money doing voice overs. You have this great deep female voice, almost a radio voice. Seriously, extra money just for talking. Look into it.
I can't believe that little fire box will put out much more than a thousand BTU'S of heat more than 30-45 minutes before you have to fill it and start over again. As a heat source it looks worthless to me.
I just took a bite of freshly made jackfruit barbecue at the same time you sliced into yours. So good so healthy to eat fruits and veggies- for the animals, the planet, you and the baby. Xoxo
Is there any reason why you couldn't have put the chimney out the side wall avoiding the roof altogether? With a shorter stack obviously. I'm sure they don't have any building regs in Panama as is the case in most third-world countries.
I see all the comments about people. Saying things about kaylee being pregnant. I dont think they mean no harm. They just care about her and the baby. And i think its ugly that some people come back with smart attitudes. Its not right. Just because they care about her. There is enough ugly mean stuff that goes on in the world without that. I didnt no this chanel. Was going to turn in to a big Drama chanel.
You both have been inspiring abi and I since day one. You both are truly our favorite pair to watch. We are in the process of rebuilding our van and watching your videos helps keep us motivated. Also, this fireplace is so dope. Cheers
HEY GUYS, I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU MAKE SOME TYPE OF DIVERTER UP HILL FROM YOUR CHIMNEY. A "V" SHAPE UPSIDE DOWN TO DIVERT AS MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN AND PUT A LOT OF TAR IN THE SHALLOW PARTS OF THE ROOF CAP FOR YOUR CHIMNEY .YOU SAID IT YOURSELF YOU GET A TON OF RAIN. BE SAFE GUYS AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF THAT BABY J.
They collect it and use the water Looking at the dirt and bird crap on the roof I presume they either do not use it for drinking or have a good UV filtration system.
