Just a thought, go 4 pods. One in the far apart holes in the grill and then 2 in the large opening in middle of the grill. Love the builds or all the trucks. Ready to see the lly.
DMAXRYNO just commented saying he should to teach about this shii. I didn’t get taught electricity in school because my school closed as we began the unit in April
@DMAXRYNO you should install a EZ tailgate assist on the OBS so the tailgate does slam hard if some else opened it. I know it’s a work truck and you don’t want it destroyed
Since Sergio reads comments I hope he sees this! You should start your own channel that explains these components! I was supposed to take physics this year but didn’t (senior during the closures) but I have always wanted to know about electricity and electrical components and you explain it better than any teacher.
That's the perfect guy to do business with. Listens to the customer and takes pride in his work! I hope he gets more work than he knows what to do with.
Man, I tell ya, I wish our local guy here was as personable as Sergio. Thanks for this video. I'm VERY handy and mechanically inclined. Installed our last setup (Whelen strobe BULB's) on a 2000 Tundra. (I'm wondering if I can use the old strobe controller for these new fangled LED"s???) And now, will install the whole kit and caboodle on a 2018 Tundra. Well, our local guy (as I don't really want to install these again only because I don't have the time) told me 6-8 weeks to order and get me in queue for a VERY overpriced installation. Well, KNOWING how to install these things, this video gave me an inspiration and adrenaline shot to move on and do the installation myself. If I was out that way, I would have Sergio do it as once again, he's a very personable business person, customer service based individual and VERY technically inclined. The array will also include a lightbar. OVERKILL? Yes, as we live on a BUSY road, (backing in an 18 foot trailer) and once the Christmas tree lights up, people will see it and hopefully STOP...haha.... Thanks for the inspirational video man!
the term you were looking for is Strobe Tube also you should definitely do LED switchbacks for the Turn signals on the truck so you can keep the white to the front until the signals kick in to match your mirrors
Hey bro love your OBS, I just inherited one from my dad and want to do many of the upgrades you have done. Can you let me know where you got those mirrors? Much thanks, keep up the great content.
I have used the same can of VHT nite shades for 3 sets of tail lights, some marker lights, and probably another few odds and ends, and I still have like half a can left 😂
Personally I like that cluster in the middle I would just add two more lights to one in each grill pocket by the headlights and Center then in the middle of the grill pocket that would look really cool
If you plan on doing full led lights on the obs ur gonna need to put resistors on the tail lights from ground wire to the blinker wire with out them the tail lights come on with the key an it messes with your torque converter locking an unlocking it cuz it thinks the breaks are on
I wish i could go to IEP.. my truck has so many issues with the electrical side of things that i just have never been able to figure out and its infuriating
I was thinking about changing my strobe setup to this on my sierra, but I just realized that the strobe function is probably using the dimmed output just like the running light right? I think those Feniex T3's only have one setting for their internal programming. I guess I will have to reach out for some help from Sergio!
If you added a 4th light to your grill, you could have created that effect. Set the flash pattern to steady burn if you are hooking up to an external flasher controller. the Feniex hand held Typhoon allows you to create the back and forth triple burst flash. Just add a 4th light, and connect the two on the left to button 1, and the two on the right to button 2. solved.
Sergio is an interesting dude. You should make video and let him tell his story. Where he's from and how he got to where he is today.. might be inspiring.
Hey Dmaxrino, I just subscribe to your channel, I like your videos and soon I will contact Sergio for some lights on my Duramax keep doing more videos to learn more about the GMC trucks.
Take a small wrench about the size of the loom and run wires through thee closed in and then start at the end of loom and run the wrench up the loom with the wires. Fast and easy
Can you recommend a set of tow mirrors for an 02 ford excursion. I contacted Boost and they said they don’t have anything for my year. I would really like power folding but don’t want too crazy expensive or super cheap
Although the Feniex Cannons are great multi-mode lights. A professional installer/shop should never recommend replacing a DOT light. We make customers sign a waiver if they insist on replacing DOT lights with the cannon so they understand that in the event their insurance provider denies liability due to removing the DOT, we are not responsible.
@@DMAXRYNO I get that. Just wanted to point that out cause it seemed as he was promoting that as a great option with the Cannon's multiple modes. I'm also one of the longest standing Feniex dealers & Certified Installer's of their equipment and just wanted people to know the possible repercussions of swapping DOT lights for non-DOT approved lighting.
Or you could have used feniex fusions which have multiple triggers... So they can be programmed for a dim mode on one wire, when you put power to the second wire it overrides the dim steady burn and flashes them.
"Wig wags" is when u hook up a flasher to the the factory halogen bulbs, whether it be the headlights, turn signals or break lights and it flashes back and forth.
