@@realbasslessons9356 Of course! I work at it a lot and I really enjoy your channel! But I'll bet I'd learn a few more things just jamming with you, too!
I have a question. I own a TC Electronic bass combo with a 15" driver. I recently acquired a valve head which I would like to plug into the TC cab (speaker) without feeding the valve head output into the TC board (obviously) Can this be done without using additional components or switches or can I do this using the jack tip connector as some sort of breaker? There is nothing implemented into the design of the combo for this kind of use and I don't want to destroy the amp in the process. I'm just thinking it would be a useful mod that would allow me to use either amp with the same speaker.
Hi Jim, really nice work! How many watts do you think it is safe to put through a D130 or D130F of similar vintage? I have one installed in an old Traynor 1x15 cab.
I cannot see all the comments so I hope there isn’t any redundancy. It looks like the red and black wires had been connected to the corresponding colors on the speaker terminals. This however is incorrect on the JBL’s of that period. Black goes to positive and Red negative. Got this information from Weber Speakers. I would play a low note and observe the cone. If it moves inwards, it’s out of phase. Good luck!
@@chanslorvalorum6905 I agree that will work just fine, but my main reason to play a bass note is also hear the difference of an out of phase signal. Less Bass will be presented.
No, I had it made by a man here in NH: www.trmguitarcabs.com/ I have built many cabs in the past, but this man, Tim, is a professional, building every day.
@@realbasslessons9356 Do you happen to know which version (001, 002, 003) will fit an Etude Bassics 2 double bass? They are graduated based on the thread configuration of the bridge adjusting wheel. If not how do I figure that out so that I can order one that will fit my particular bass? Thanks again Jim!
