Installing lifter bushings with a bridgeport

Made an arbor with a woodruff key that fit bushings and a milled flat for indicating. This mill has a spindle lock to keep it from rotating. There is a cam journal diameter shaft that the end of the arbor bottoms out on to locate the depth of each bushing.

Installation looked a little easy. How much interference did you have?

I left .002” for the press fit and used a light duty wheel bearing grease for lube. If I used oil, the sleeve material would gall up. The engine has been cranking 8000 rpms for couple years and they haven’t moved.

@@hotsledder1 I just noticed you have a Racing Block with 48* Lifter angle. So minimal or no clearancing Block Lifter Link Bar (I suppose)?

@@razoreyes45k It's a GM Gen VI 502 block running keyway lifters. No link bar needed. I only did a Imgur video, imgur.com/a/6CiyqaO on how I machined the Bushings. At the end, not shown, I ran a small dingle ball hone in it for a cross hatch pattern.
