Why would you not recommend this version of MacOS??? I also have the same exact MacBook as you do White Mid 2010 with 8gb of Ram and a TB. I've been thinking about installing it
Because it works slowly, lags and other artefacts on the screen, Monterey is a graphic card demanding OS, and this MacBook have an integrated graphics, in time could ruin this graphic card.
@@macsoft3604 I see I appreciate this insight. Also how would Mojave or Catalina perform on the Mid 2010? And also would like to know if Big Sur would be any good or would it be in the same category as Monterey. Thank you kindly.
@@MilesLogan91 Mojave works good, same is Catalina, but Big Sur is in the same category as Monterey. In Catalina and Mojave I saw some artefacts in Safari, but only there.
Catalina works perfectly fine on a mid 2010 macbook pro. I am also thinking about upgrading to ventura or Monterey. The laptop has an nvidia 330m. Will the OS be slow on it?
@@macsoft3604 Thank you for the response. I worked a week with OCLP on my mac, but it seems like there's a compatibility problem with some versions of Monterey. I downloaded many dmgs from 12.4 to 12.6.1 but most of them gave me errors, any the only one - 12.6 - which I can get into the Basesystem part gave me a 'error occurred while preparing the installation.' Any ideas? I'm blowing my mind for this.
