To point out one important thing for non US like Systemusers (looking especially at EU) is to change the decimal separator in windows, IN BEFORE creating a map, from a " , " to a " . " This little thing breaks everything that has to do with numbers in general. So if you ever wondered why your Skybox is black, Your light high af and nothing renders like expected this will be most likely the cause.
@@col.maverick6027 Google. Jokes aside. Go into the old system controlpanel by simply typing controlpanel in to windows search. On the top right corner set the view to category if it isn't already. On the right side you will see under "time and region" the subtitle "Date, time and number format". Click on that. Click on advanced settings There you will see the decimal seperator. Set it to " . " save. I assume you already started modtools. That means things were already set with the old seperator which messes up everything. So to save you some time i recommend you to redownload modtools. After that i wish you happy modding!

Hey awesome video man, really helpful for beginners like myself. I have ran into a unique issue tho that is halting my progress. Because I am using a 4k monitor the resolution of all the text and icons on radiant are incredibly small and are unreadable, I can't find any settings or help online for a fix, is there a community discord or forum I can ask for help in?
My Radiant is empty when I open up a map, I have the UI at the top but no test map in the area underneath, its just all grey. I've verified my files on steam and nothing has come up and I can't find any solutions
I hope I get an answer or help. I want to install the mod tool but when I install it and think it's finished loading, nothing says it's installing the whole time but it stays at 0%... I install it on my external hard drive, does it make a difference or is that the problem? I can't click on start when I'm on steam, it just says PAUSE
On my map i want to use volumetric lighting, but when i turn volumetric on on a light it doesnt work no matter how high i put the intensity on a light or spotlight. What am i doing wrong?
Hi, I'm looking to get back into the mod tools and was wondering if there was an easy way to change the map size? Whenever I try to drag out all the boxes and volumes I mess up and it doesn't look right in game. Any way to just make everything 10x bigger? The default test map is too small. Thanks
my Radiant freezes at "Initializing Graphics Systems" every time i create a new map from scratch and stops responding ... looked at every corner of the internet for a similiar problem and nobody has a simple answer or fix for it, is there anybody that can help me ?

Hey, I’ve been wanting to get into BO3 Mod Tools for a while, but I have an issue with it. The lightning bolt icon in the Exposure Tab is greyed out and isn’t clickable and I’m not sure how to make it work.
I am having an issue where I can't move my windows around within Radiant. When I open new windows (XY View, Camera, Model Info, Etc.) they open in a new window on my 2nd monitor.
@@mrfish1419 I believe I found a fix. I was having the same issue and couldn't find a fix anywhere, but I discovered that the monitor I was unsuccessfully trying to move the windows on was 2560x1440, but when I moved radiant to my 1920x1080 monitor, the snapping worked perfectly, and the changes would stick when I moved the window back over to my main larger monitor. I don't know if this fix will apply to you but I hope it does, as I've spent the last 4 hours searching for a fix just to stumble on this stupid fix lol
like why would someone use this game engine instead of Unreal Engine 5. wondering why CD project and Crystal dynamic Choose UE5 instead of Radiant engine.

Hi, I’m trying to make a custom map and I’m not able to test it. It keeps saying "could not load level fast file for level 'the level name': Could not read fastfile. I’ve look online and tried a lot of things to try to fix it and it’s still doing it. Please it would be nice to have a feedback on this.
