Race damper doesn’t have any ribs for a belt. I’m still running an alternator so had to go with the street damper. Turbo is just a cheap eBay “turbone” for now. Will upgrade it at some point yet.
I went with the ATI damper to ensure that there’s as little vibrations as possible. I want to give the engine the best possible chance to survive so it should prolong the life of the bearings. Being able to remove the extra pulley was just a bonus
@@MtGarage Makes sense. I've been running a smaller Unorthodox crank pully for 15 years now. When I got my H22A the stock one had a little damage and clearance was an issue so that's what I went with it. Lately, I've been reading about how terrible it is on the bearings so I'm a little panicked, especially when I'm supposed to track it in the next few months. I do have some noises going on which I can't help but think now is the bearings because of what I've been reading. Eventually, I'd like to build it anyway but I also don't want to ruin anything if I don't need to. I know you mentioned using a different aftermarket one in one of your past videos which is what I was curious. My clearance looks a lot tighter than yours so I am also wondering if I'll have to pull the motor. Anyway. Love seeing keeping up on your builds on all your videos!
