I had an early 80's VW Scirroco that I could practically shift with my fingertips. I have ways have wondered in a short shifter on my NB would feel similar.

Anywhere near as good? The NC shift action is considered comparable to the S2K out of the box

I've heard a lot of bad things about short shifters on this car with most people eventually reverting back to stock. I like the idea but reviews are off-putting. Will be interesting to hear your review down the line.

That's the main reason I haven't gotten one, I don't want potential issues. If the factory shifter was dump truck like then sure, but the OEM unit is really nice as is tbh. It's good enough for me. I've had an NC for the last 13 years, currently have 2, and haven't died from not having one haha That all said, I have had the temptation to try one, but just never found a good enough deal. Probably because Jackson is always finding the deals😅 I do love Jackson trying it different things, different parts, and giving feedback, it's great. He always does such a good job, and is cheerful in his videos 😊

I've been wanting a short shifter for my 06, but the G Racing one seems a little too tall for my liking. I, too, am curious what Jackson will think of this shifter after a few months. Because if it truly is more of an OEM+ feel long term, then I definitely will want to buy one. I've heard mixed reviews on the I.L. shifter so here's hoping....

I picked up the Cobalt short shifter and it came out a week later. Like others say, some like it, some don’t, but the one comment I have is it made me respect the stock shifter feel. 2013 NC GT 6speed
