@@CaliforniaKonaN Because your hands should be on the wheel, the DCT does a fine job by itself. The only time I manually shift is a downshift in anticipation of a corner. Other than that, why would you bother with this? Please say it's 2oz lighter or something. I'm guessing you get this stuff for free.......................
@@robt3325 ha well on track I keep it drive and don’t manually shift at all. For me, in normal daily traffic (non performance scenarios) it feels more engaging / fun to drive.
You really do make excellent videos, Gavin: Good camera angles, clean editing, smooth narrating voice, etc. And I really do like the mod's. I am really tempted to try fitting that shifter to my own Kona. I'm old school ('cause I'm as old as dirt) and so I like shifting a "stick" on the floor. I have no use for paddles, personally. LOL. Keep showing us your Kona N videos. I'm already sub'ed. And enjoy! -Alan in Florida 2022 Kona N-Line
Ah thank you! Still trying to improve each video to make it as engaging as possible so your feedback means a lot. Hah yeah i get a lot of hate on the shifter but with gout flare ups and left knee issues I can't be having 3 pedals like I used too. Let me know if you try the shifter, it just feels more fun tbh haha when its just puttin around town. Also Ik now the N-Lines have a DCT but not sure how the assembly is. I've seen N-Line shift knobs on N cars so highly possible it'll fit!
I like how you're doing your "high performance" testing when the oil and water temperature is not even hot. Let it warm up first, that's not great for your car. I don't think the yellow lines in my RPM restriction are even gone at that temperature.
A tune more so! Intake I would say aren't going to net big HP gains but it does sound better and increases airflow. But def won't be optimized unless you have a tune if you're looking for more power (ECU swap or piggy back tunes like JB4 etc).
One kona N arrived to my local dealer in my country but msrp is 45,995 without taxes and everything is too much for a hyundai is a good looking car but the price is too high in my country the cars cost like 8,000 more than the states and for this car i think is too much , i buy another car but one day am going to have a n congrats on your kona is great.
Hugs pretty good, I’m also lowered and 18s but I feel I won’t feel it until I start pushing the car more. Have a track day coming up so excited to see!
