Been gone awhile. Broke my right shoulder really bad. They had to do a replacement so now I am part bionic! Due to Covid 19 here I had to suffer the broken shoulder a month before surgery. Arm was hanging off the meat in the shoulder. I am 6 weeks post op and nice to see you guys.
I’ve been using Ziplock sandwich bags for thickened epoxy. Put epoxy, hardener and lastly the fibers in the bag. Zip it shut and squeeze from one side of the bag to the other to mix. When ready, cut off a corner of the bag to the size of bead you need. Squeeze thickened epoxy out of the bag then throw it in the trash. No mess. No clean up.
Yes we used it plenty during the build , good for when you want to do 3kg at a time. The rest is just time wasted to bag (only my opinion) . Keep smiling
Sailing Lady Africa; I don’t think we are talking about the same kind of bags. Google Ziplock brand snack or sandwich bags. I’ve used the snack size bag for only one pump of West systems epoxy and One pump of resin. It such a small size there is never any wastage.
Sorry to come up with a suggestion to cause you more work but it is quite cheap. A selectable valve on the input before the pump and a connection to enough hose to reach anywhere on your boat coiled up in the bilge. This gives you a system capable of sucking water out of your boat from anywhere. Obviously the output side could be handled the same way with another selectable valve and whatever actually triggers the pump. It could help in an emergency situation since it is on a seperate circuit to your bilge pumps. Though ideally you should have an emergency high output pump on your boat anyway as this would almost certainly be of a higher capacity than a deck wash pump.
Mucho trabajo poniendo todo los nuevos aparatos electronicos y bonbas de agua pero vale la pena lady africa cada dia es mas bella y lista para crusar por todo el oceno saludos ricky y felicidades
Great vid, can't wait for the sail away day. It's just getting close to summer here (Canada) so you must be nearing winter and those cool temperatures. Cheers.
Ricky, thanks for the AIS. Now I can follow you hands on on Marinetraffic.com. As for all my favourite yachts.Simone, that cold front hit us two days ago here in Oudtshoorn. Flippen icy cold!!!!!!! I absolutely HATE it!
Great video. . You and the Late great Patrick Childress are going to be my reference library once my hulls are done. Looks like you are going to be breaking out of here soon. Business opportunity Riicki should do some online tutorials on that alternator upgrade etc etc. And sell them on line in a masterclass series.( I get free because it's my idea. )Haha keep safe.
Hi. My name is Bernard. I went to visit you the other day where you are moored but the security wouldn't let me in😭 I tried to get your attention to no avail. How do I get hold of you to make an appointment just to say hi?
