How have I never found your channel until now?! I am trying to decide where in the van my composting toilet will live, so this was helpful! I will definitely check out your other videos!
Hello, we are truly enjoying your series and particularly this episode! We’re considering doing something similar and concerned about the weight so we are curious how it has worked out? At the end it was mentioned an update on this design will be forthcoming and while I have gotten through several of the 'Shakeout', I have not seen it so if could point out which one?
Hi Kim. We're glad you're enjoying the series. I had to go back a review that video since we've made so many video to date. If you are looking for the full review of the Nature's Head toilet you'll find that in a video we made called the Scoop on Poop - we compared the C-Head and the Nature's Head toilets. Here's a link to it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--UbdZT-R8rM.html. And thanks for your comment, because I realized I hadn't added this video to the Van Build Series - so I added it to that series. As for the slide out drawer design - that has worked out really well. We pretty much use it as it was installed. Our recommendation is to give yourself plenty of room when designing the cabinet. You'll want some room below the drawer so it doesn't drag over the floor. Please let me know if this has answered your questions. And if not, I'll give it another go. Thanks, K
@@ClarityOffGrid Thanks Kristina. We are settled on the NH. Its the drawer design we're considering. Your added note to leave some room below is helpful as I don't recall hearing that tip. But that further adds to our pondering how has it held up, literally, with the weight of the toilet not to mention a 200 lb person (then we need to further factor in we are fitting up a 170" Sprinter that has a 7" cutout in the floor to afford a step, so perhaps a support bracket if not move the design to a different location) ? PS: I was wondering about the location of that video as I power my way through your excellent stories! You are one year ahead of us as we dive in to fitting up our van for a mountain bike trip to Moab this fall.
