We installed the new Kenwood NX5700's in our Jeeps and so far we are LOVING them. I will do a more in depth video of its functions and a better review after we are able to put some hours on them. Stay tuned!

Super expensive radio, but nice setup! The NX-5000 series is a sweet rig.

For those that are wondering that one radio, including installation and the extra pieces for using the remote head comes out to just under $3000. That doesn't include the handhelds or second mobile radio

Those radios should have nxdn built in with basic encryption. Setup a channel you and your buddis can use to have private communications

Nice upgrade... plenty of power too by the sounds of it... 50 watts... The roofs come off and the windscreens fold down on Jeeps don't they, so mounting up near the sunvisor or in a roof console is not an option I suppose...

Yeah pretty limited. Been happy with the mounting spot so far 👍🏻

But but but I thought spinning your tires digs you down to traction so you can drive out......

@@BruceCookfmx I think @henriquemiranda5478 is trying to tell you that you do realize that these radios do require an FCC license, right? There are no MURS or other "business band" channels that allow you to run the kind of power these mobile radios produce. Unless you're an amateur radio operator using them in the amateur bands, if you aren't licensed for the frequencies you are using, you're leaving yourself liable. Will anything happen? Probably not. But I sure wouldn't publicize it to the world on RU-vid.

@@bumloudson I think you failed to realize this is in British Columbia, Canada and they are using LADD channels.
@billreid2066
@billreid2066 6 месяцев назад
@@bumloudsonall he needs is a license from Industry Canada to use those RR frequencies. It is under $50 a year and simple to get. I have the same radio and it is set up for the RR channels as well as a bunch of ham repeaters and simplex frequencies
