Hi Rob, this is Andrew Contrino writing you from Green Power Energy. I too have a steep roof and am in the process of installing Green Power Energy. It is not an operational issue. As for your solar production question, it depends on what direction the roof is facing, but generally, no, it is not going to be an issue. The ideal pitch in New Jersey for example is facing 180 degrees south at a 38 degree pitch.
