Some drilling and slight modifications were made. Just showing you guys a way , not thee way to put on aftermarket running boards. I was going to mention what size sockets to use but as I go along I am discovering that this is kind of a Frankenstein Truck with different sizes of nuts and bolts used to keep parts on.

What brand are those running boards ?

They are Tyger 3.5 nerf bars . I found them on eBay. They say they fit 1997 to 2001 OBS fords. I had to do a little extra work to make them fit. I recommend utilizing the old brackets to further support the new side steps.

What are those paint matched running boards called?

Sorry for the late reply. They are xlt oem running boards. They usually come in a primer color which you will have to take to paint shop to match the color up.

@@revelation6_8 Do you know anywhere that still sells the OEM style running boards? I've been looking everywhere and think they might be a junk yard special now.

@randersonline as far I as I know they are a discontinued part made from fiberglass. I love the classic look from them and wish a company would bring them back. Mine were all cracked so I put these on instead. It's probably a junk yard special. Sometimes people in forums are selling them if you ask. Or ebay. Good luck and let me know if you find any.
