What a privilege to have watched this series and to see the door finally installed. The lucky owners should experience a wow moment every time they use it
@@BradshawJoineryWell the production values of your videos have certainly come a long, long way since I first subscribed many moons ago (to learn a bit about spindle moulders) and all the extra effort you’ve put in is definitely worth it. I totally understand it’s a huge amount of extra effort for what can be unpaid work when you’ve a busy business to run (and help on the farm too!), but just think about all the extra skills you’ve learned and honed along the way as well as making all of us viewers extremely happy. We’re now just at the end of a huge renovation project at my new house (up in East Yorkshire) and there’s been countless times I’ve wished I’d had people working on it with just half the amount of care, skill and pride in their work as what I see you put into everything you do. You should be incredibly proud 🙌
@@stephendixon8575 Thankyou Stephen! There is one saving grace with your project, its done/nearly finished... it takes so long to do things well, it can be frustrating for the owner!
@@BradshawJoinery Well it will be the very last time we do anything like this, so wanted to get it right, and though I’m very laid back (perhaps too much for some of the trades!) I have an eye for the small details (like you) and especially love quality joinery. Have quite a a passion for joinery myself but sadly health limitations these days and what ambitions I have in my head are two completely different and incompatible things. 10 Years ago I’ve have been doing lots of the ‘important’ bits myself, but it’s hard to hand it over to others if they don’t seem to care enough. Probably part of the reason I admire your work so much 👍
From Angus (nearly 6 now) “Hello Ollie. I really like watching your videos with my Daddy. The door that you have made looks amazing. I want to do woodwork like you when I am older. I am making a bowl for my Mummy at the moment. I am looking forward to your next video. Bye bye, From Angus”
As a Bench Joiner for over 35 years, I've watched this series and many times noted how far you have taken your attention to detail - beautiful work, perfectly fitted.
Stunning. If that was mine, I think I'd move my bed into the hallway...... or at least an easy chair, just to sit and stare. Can't wait to see it with the canopy and pillars!
Sad that this is nearly over. Better than Netflix. There should be an Oscar for this sort of content. You have inspired me (a very amateur woodworker) to do better and enjoy the process.
Im so proud Ollie! As being self employed , and in the finish work business, I'm so lucky to have found your channel, you have made me better! Been watching since last fall, really appreciate your videos man! - sauvecreates Scott, from Canada
Nice seeing an expensive job done correctly, and not bodged along with a string of excuses as to why it's not looking as it should, nice seeing the install into what is a beautiful home. 👍
As an old school glazier I can confidential say them beads are never coming off if a unit breaks or breaks down but what a mustard job. If I'm ever rich enough to afford a door like that I'd call you in a heartbeat.
Cheers Russel! Haha They are well in aye, Units ive had fail in 10 years glazing like this were only from a small fire smashing the glass, they come out pretty nice with multitool flush with the glass cutting the sealant, its not too bad, but not as easy as dry beads or PVC by any stretch haha
It's one thing to have the skill to produce something so brilliant but the incredible detail that you go right from the initial measurements, the design, the 3d software, the tricks and tips you use in the workshop, the attention to detail on the finishing, and the final installation is just mind blowing. You are a real craftsman and your videos are an absolute pleasure to watch. Keep it up. These videos will end up being an instruction manual for future generations, showing them how things should be done.
Wow that's a door!! I bet you smile to yourself every time you walk past it. Top notch I've enjoyed this series a lot can't wait to see the canopy get finished. Well done! 👌
Attention to detail is phenomenal. I didn't realize screw alignment was a "thing." The commentary great, too, with lots of how-too as well as hard-learned tips -- but do watch for repeats! (That strings stuff out a bit -- its meant in an absolutely positive way - hopefully tightening the presentation will help you get a few more eyes on this awesome channel.)
Fantastic work Ollie and a real testament to your skill. Can't wait to see the 'final' finished product with everything around it finished off too. Lovely work and a great video. Cheers.
The quality of this build is just off the charts amazing! It looks soooo good installed. But seeing the whole process makes me appreciate the finished product all that much more. Great work. Thanks for bringing us along.
Amazing work! I’ve watched every episode of this series as soon as it came out and loved it. It’s great to learn all steps and detail needed for such a masterpiece.
exquisite workmanship and a beautiful entrance door and lights , Nice to think that in 150 years time someone will look at that and marvel at the skill and craftmanship and wonder how it was done , Then look it up on RU-vid and watch a Talented young shaver by the name of Ollie Bradshaw applying his craft ... Well done mate , you deserve to very proud of yourself .. 👍
Thank you Ollie, it’s been a pleasure to watch. Perhaps you could start mine now? I’ll wait the 3 years for that level of skill and workmanship. Keep doing what you do.
Door and frame look absolutely fantastic mate, the attention to detail really shows up and as an advertisement for your workmanship you could not find better 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺
Spot on , well done in taking wood to that precision , you've a good combination of passion and compassion....... Very inspiring to the young coming through big man 👌💪
Absolutely beautiful work! Such a joy to see the installation of the door and frame. The best compliment I can give is one my father used to use “it looks like it grew there!” Even more pleasure to come when you finish off the outside. Thanks Ollie for the inspirational work you do.
Great video series Oliver, I'm a cabinet maker, and wouldn't attempt this kind of joinery, but have really enjoyed seeing the amount of thought and attention to detail that has gone into this project, and the quality of the edited video too! 🙌 I'm sure your client is absolutely delighted!
Thankyou, yes its the detail in planning and prep, not just the physical skills that pull something like this together that you will all too well know. Very happy client indeed. Appreciate the edit comment. Id love to get the videos to perfection but there comes a point i just have to churn them out or i'd never release any.
Absolutely outstanding craftsmanship Oliver! You are also a very good teacher of your craft, and I like how clearly you explain what you are doing and why you are doing something and the pros/cons of doing those things. I have watched pretty much all your videos now, and aim learning a lot from you! All the very best with your next projects, and I hope we all get to come along for the great ride!
Hi Ollie, hope you're well. What can I say that others haven't said? Wow!! Stunning work, as usual, and probably last a couple of lifetimes. It was a pleasure, and an education, watching you do your magic. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Absolute Class! Well done Ollie, it’s so nice to watch a true craftsman at work. Also I should say (as a branding and marketing consultant for over 20 years) your content and editing is also excellent. Keep up the great work in front of and behind the camera. All the very best Gerard
Really liked the installation. I would have lined up the slots in the screw heads the same, they look much better in my opinion. Stirling job again. Your attention to detail and planning make everything appear easy. I am now looking forward to seeing the rest of the canopy install. Thanks again for your excellent video. Cheers. Jim
What an absolutely professional and beautiful peace of work. Construction and attention to detail. You should be truly proud of the best door I have ever seen. Thank you for privilege of accompanying you on that journey. Well done, keep up the great work. Thanks again.
Excellent work as usual , it was great to see the conclusion of all the hard work coming together , and all the final details being completed , great job Ollie, the whole series of this was very informative and you made it easy to follow ... looking forward to see the completion of canopy .
Such a pleasure to have watched and learnt so much in all the videos on making and fitting this incredible bespoke door. Attention to detail at every stage, highly informative joinery , painting and installation techniques explained and demonstrated throughout. The frame and door in situ is absolutely stunning - we fully appreciate all the detailed work that was necessary to achieve this. Craftsmanship at the highest level - not only is it great to see but it also inspires us to these standards of quality and detail. Many thanks for sharing this such wonderful content!!!
This has been an excellent series watching you design and assemble the behemoth of a door and frame. Your knowledge and skill along with the accuracy in your work, must make you proud
You should try some medium strength loctite on the grub screws, holds it enough to stop coming loose but not tight enough you can’t get them out if needed.
Absolutely incredible workmanship all your work is first class a real pleasure watching your work you should be proud of yourself looking forward to seeing the next video 👍
That's an awesome piece of work! Together with the green oak framed walkways, it is a really superb project. We should also thank the home owner who was prepared to pay to have this quality of work done. Without their vision and preparedness to stump up the wedge in the first place, jobs like this would not be done.
