I intended to fit an RDS to my next build but the demos I've seen up to now were sorta vague. Your explanations really nail it and makes the whole process very attractive. Hurrah for a capable Kiwi! Thank you.

You're using 3/16th's piano wire but what size adapter are you using? I only see adapters for 1/4 inch and 6mm on Servo City site. Does the 1/4 inch adapter clamp down on the 3/16ths wire?

Umm, over the past 20 years I've used RDS but only on ailerons and flaps. I would never place a servo in the tail as shown here just to eliminate a convention rudder linkage. RDS has it's uses and it works great but in certain circumstances, like here whereby you add significant weight in the tail with a servo mount, it's a negative.

Just move your battery forward and it's done ! If you keep you servos in the front/center you have to add the linkage weight as well, so not at all convinced by your argument.
