If you really want to be helpful to your customers, you might consider an full-length video of this reel system, including assembly, the installation into the top rails, maintenance and how it works. And hold your camera horizontal. Even Hollywood doesn't have vertical screens for a reason. It's hard to consider purchasing this product (I'm on the fence) as there is little instructions or info out there. Videos would help a lot in your marketing!
@Nathan Riggle I purchased a similar reel system and was able to guess with the limited details the instructions provided. It's been on my pool for just over a month. I've had no issues with the strap tab pieces or the screws that hold them in. the tabs and straps are okay. I have however had major issues with the same self tapping screws that hold the outer tubing sections to the centre inner tube section. (the assembly portion that's not shown in this video) with rolling and unrolling the cover, there is now a clicking noise that occurs with each crank. upon closer inspection, all of the self tapping screws have rounded out (or oval is a better word) the holes they created going from the outer to inner aluminum tube. I didn't over tighten. I didn't use a socket or drill other than to start the holes. I used 4 screws on each side to add strength in connecting the tubes but this has made zero difference. the inner tube shifts slightly inside the outer tubes with each turn of the crank and last night I managed to catch 2 screws that completely backed themselves out from falling into the pool. I'm not sure of a way to fix this but at this rate, the aluminum tubes will be useless by the end of the summer or have more holes than swiss cheese. Or worse, I'm going to end up with a ripped liner from screws that have fallen into the pool when someone other than me rolls the cover on or off the pool. I have no idea on an alternative to fasten the inner and outer tubes so this won't happen. I followed the vague instructions and seemed to have done everything correctly.
OMG number of things wrong with this demonstration. 1. If drilling holds over your pool the sharp shavings with go inside. We layed the tubing on the ground on top of a tarp so the shaving won’t be in the pool or the grounds of our yard. 2. This video is so fast that i can’t understand how the straps are to be attached. We had to look at several times. As the other customers said, this video need to done over. It too fast and not thorough. It needs to show how to put on all the straps, reel the cover on the pool and off the pool. And very important instruction people not to drill in the pool because the shaving can cause damage to the lining
This is the problem your 3" tube has a nice screw to lock the handle down tight. The 4" does not have a screw to lock it down just an axle bolt that has a ton of play and makes the reel feel like junk! Why in the world would anyone design it like this when you have the answer. I might return my reel. So actually you just need to re cut your handle to accommodate the hold down screw.
