Hi Chris! You actually bought those terminal blocks from me at International Connector. I just found this video yesterday. I built a custom combiner today to match what you did here and wanted to chat with you about what else might be helpful. For example, printed marking tags showing L1, L2, N and GND. I also, wanted to address your concerns at the end of the video. I have these colors in a larger size block named the Dinkle DK35N. It would give you a maximum UL rating of 150 amps instead of the 60 amp limit on the DK10N block. I really enjoyed your video. Keep making great content!

The concern at the end had nothing to do with the Dinkle connector amp rating, it was the threat of overloading the unprotected neutral line using the power assist from the inverter exceeding the neutral lines 50 amp rating. I don’t believe tags would be necessary, that’s what the color coordination was for. Great product, thanks for the input. You can also protect the output to 50a and join the two multis back together before the panel in a standard 2 pole breaker box.

Hey i have 2 10kw inverters ran in parallel for my home but I ran each output to its own double pole 60amp breaker in the panel. I made sure the outputs of each inverter ended up on the same corresponding legs and they run my house great. Is there anything wrong with doing it this way or is it just less congestion in the panel running a combiner box like you did? Also great video man, thank you for taking the time to show everyone!

I think the difference in the wattage between the shunt and the load side is the inverter's efficiency loss. The shunt is showing what he's throwing out while the inverter is doing the same, minus the its own inefficiency. Awesome setup. I want to get another MP and do the same!

Efficiency loss doesn’t explain the discrepancy, AC loads reading 30% lower than they should and DC loads reading 200-300% higher than they should. Efficiency loss would be like 5%. These are just reading inaccurately.

You need to tell the cerbo to disregard battery readings from the inverter and only accept from the shunt, that’s your error appearance

Nice job. You addressed some concerns been wondering as I plan for the same dual inverter setup. Have you had any issues yet with overloading the neutral while on power assist? The $700+ for two splice boxes with breakers seemed like a lot and I was hoping to find an alternate solution. Also, did you have to increase any wire size going to two inverters? Thanks!

We don’t get anywhere close to going over 50amps of power usage. So over loading neutral hasn’t come close to being a concern yet. With two AC’s running and the clothes drying we are still under 4,500 watts. Even if we kicked on the microwave at the same time we would still be under 6,000 watts. If you have three AC’s then or some other high power draw then that might be an issue. Wire size to the inverters are fine, we did change up our battery wires configuration, which will be in an up coming video.

Great Video thanks for making it. I currently have one multi-plus Getting ready to add second one. you answered a lot of questions before I had a chance to ask them. Your link for the Dinkle connectors. Only shows red and black were you able to buy the white and green separately? If so, can you share that link?

When you install the parallel inverter the slave one just copies the setting from the master. Long as your Master setting are correct you wont have to do any additional programming

Cool video. You’re a pretty handy guy! So I’m installing an MP2 2x120 right now, just waiting for a few more items. Just curious, how’d you hook up your Cerbo GX to the touch… that wire length is so short. Looks like you have a Cougar, like mine. I wanted to mount everything in the front storage but I’m afraid I’m going to have to mount the Cerbo right inside the lower compartment. I have my touch in the same spot except higher on the wall. Thanks-Dennis

@@saltytripsany issues with the extensions at all? I can either run long ve direct cables (3) or run the extensions (usb and hdmi) from the Touch 70. I just don’t want to have to purchase shorter ve direct cables and then longer ones later. Thanks!

I have a 24V 2x120 3000kva in my pass thru on my trailer. Question is how did you manage to keep all of that setup cool? Did you install a better bluetooth plug in on the Cerbo GX?

Question about the battery cables to the shunt. Did you have to change the 2/0 to something larger?

On your screen the AC loads is how much load your RV is pulling on the AC side, the battery load is showing total watts being pulled from the batteries including both inverters and DC loads combined.

I know they are supposed to but the read outs were way off actual usage. My DC load consist of interior lights which maybe use 50 watts and at times and it was showing close to 500 or more watts at times. There is some extreme inaccuracy in the AC and DC load reporting when inverting, when in pass through mode it reports accurately. The AC load was reporting 30-40% lower than what was actually being used. Did you not notice the extreme discrepancies?

Manual says 10cm on top or bottom for ventilation, side by side doesn’t affect that, there’s no side ventilation.

@@saltytrips Cool. I asked because the visual quick reference sheet that came in the box of mine show 100mm for both sides and top . I agree with you though as there is no vents on the sides , only top and bottom Thanks for your response .

Because didn’t need it at the time, didn’t realize power grids at RV parks were so unreliable, so for our critters it became uber important. Also once you get that power ball rolling it hard not to just keep making it bigger. Rapping up the solar install to stay tuned for that soon.

Technically 4800 watts, correct? I believe those are 2400 watt inverters. Is that 12 or 24 volt system? 4/0 battery cables? Great video, Thank You

In parallel it will run 4,800 watts all day long, it can handle loads up to 6,000 watts for a period of time before overloading. Closer to 6,000 the less time it has before over load. I have a 12/3000/120 Multiplus ii that I am about to hook up. With 50Amp shore power and the inverter in charge only, can you run both ACs and everything pass through the inverter? Will it allow a full 50 amps through both legs for 100 amps total when not inverting?

I'm sorry, I don't get it. I appreciate your time making the video but you spend too much time connecting wiring watching nothing but your wrists but not enough explaining how the wiring is done for the parallel setup with perhaps a picture diagram? Does each inverter get one hot leg (L1 to one and L2 to the other) and then the white nuetral wire is shared between the two inverters? Thank you.

@3:20-6:30 wiring explained (color coordinated with L1,L2,N,G) @18:40 you can clearly seem them connected. You can see the lines going from the inverters to the junction box’s. I even color coordinated them, I’m not sure how I could make it clearer. I showed and explained the wiring multiple times. Have you installed one inverter yet?
