After watching this video, I immediately bought a vinyl sticker online and couldn't wait to try this myself. Thank you for the detailed tutorial. Now I can open my own shop of installing car stickers 🤣🤣🤣
After hearing your success, I bought a hole load of stickers for my business and I apply them free on any cars parked near my shop - our competitors think we have 600 company cars haha free advertising on strangers cars
@@CHRISTOPHERSTEWARTHAIRDRESSING after hearing of your monumental success I too bought a load of "Summit Racing" stickers and have put them all over myself. MY income tripled in 3 months. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
@@ianfairbanks1318 after absorbing all that positive energy from your monumental success- I took "MASSIVE ACTION" and bought some of your summit racing stickers from yee- my clients were buzzing to find out that included in the price of a haircut, they get a free dump valve, a pop and bang remap and our free stickers. Can only comment on this week's sales - We were "cut and blown" away!!! ( aggressive dump valve n hairdryer noises)
That last bubble was driving me nuts. I was like "PLEASE GET THAT BEFORE THIS VIDEO ENDS!!!" But he tried. And didn't get it out... And now I'm ruined.
Nice tutorial. Covered all the basic things, how to avoid certain pitfalls, and using a hinge. I would’ve used painters tape; but wow,…U made it very Understandable, because he explained everything! 🍺
First time watching. New Sub. I was so anxious waiting to see that vinyl cut lol. Then you said like we did with the dry application. So now I have to go find that video of yours 😊 lol
Yeppers,..it takes a little pin prick ,..then there b no more Awwwwwwwwwww!!!! LOL rule of thumb is you can prick your bubble ,..but never ,….. your turn ,..please leave a comment below ⬇️.
Wow man, very detailed and great video. I'm getting into a lot of that now. I got some rapid tac products to try, do you happen to know if the same method can be done on car wrap? I've seen some that has a light glue like your decal and some that do not. If you happen to know let me know, but otherwise great video, explanation and install. Ive ripped so many decals in the past just being a hair off, should be flawless now.
I really would use a spray setting of wider, for better coverage--the pointed spray just misses too much, IMO. One question: how can the wet side ever "cure" with a soap barrier? I don't pretend to know, but I would think? we would want a totally clean surface with some kind of adhesive to bond with the painted metal--no?
Sorry, but i think you can use your queegee before you remove the paper from the decal to remove all the air bubbles and soapy water. In that way you minimize the risk to damage the decal and add scratches to it and the paint...I there is any little bubble or water in the decal, use your squeegee just on the particular area...
The bubbles will eventually lay down after the water evaporates. If you still have a couple tough ones you can pin the water out. But wait a few days for it to layout
Something I have never understood how does that soapy water not affect the adhesiveness of the vinyl sticker and is there any special kind of soap and water mix that she used to do that so it won’t affect the sticker
2 small drops of any dish soap( I use dawn) in approximately 500ml /16oz of water. most of the soap/water gets squeezed out , but a small micro layer actually promotes the adhesive to stick better as it evaporates. When it's 100% dry, the soap actually helps it stick better. The wet method is exclusively used in window tinting, when this is done, the window actually starts out hazy because of the soap/water mixing with the adhesive and as it dries, it becomes crystal clear. This is the same with the vinyl decals, you just can't see it. hope this helps.
Not sure why you are not using the felt side of the squeegee. The rough side can scratch the vinyl UPDATE: Ok so after working in a print shop for over 5 months now, i realized that it's ok to use the solid side of the squeegee. It also depends on the masking you re using and the vinyl also. you never want to apple to much pressure!
Ignoring the spec of something under the vinyl that you couldn't get out.... fairly certain the soap/water ratio was off a bit. I'd also strongly recommend leaving the transfer paper on for at least 12 hrs as removing it can pull the decal back off
